CIC asks for last 6 months to make sure you havent borrowed the funds at the last moment. In my bank statements the funds have gradually increased over 6 months and my application is not yet rejected, so i assume i might be ok.
A lot of people on forum also says that if you are in canada and have a full time job, they care less for the funds. But i will suggest atleast to meet the minimum fund requirements for 2 months atleast.
Lets wait and see if other senior members have more inputs on it. I told you from my personal experience
You'll need your indicated fund (Or more than LICO) at your ending balance. They require 6 months history to make sure you didn't borrow money for POF/immigration purposes only.
So if there is a large deposit in your account at the time of yoyr application and that deposit sits there all the way up till cic decides to request old statements and stuff.. is that okay? I mean that sure tells them the money is still there n infact is account holder's.

yea if the description of your statement credit says "PAYROLL" or "TAX RETURN CRA" that might have been fine. But if it's just says "DEPOSIT" you have some explaining to do.
