You can certainly claim the points under a YP visa since this is an employer specific work permit. There are basically two conditions. You have to work for your employer on the YP visa in Canada for a full year before you can claim the 50 points. Also, your employer needs to give you a letter stating that they will continue to employ you for a year after you become a PR.
