5.5 IELTS overall score

my score is 5.5 too ... and I am still in a game waiting for passport to be returned.

Hello, I applied for PR visa canada in April 2010 in 38 occupation list program. I appear IELTS and got
L 5.5, W 5.5, R 5.5 AND IN SPEAKING 5 BANDS and my over all band score is 5.5.
CHC needs 8 score points in FSW processing. I don't know how they will calculate it ?
if in speaking they needs min 5.5 and I got 5 band will my score they consider ?
(Because I have over all 5.5 bands). But including this results (5.5 bands with 7 points) my total case points are 68.
Please suggest me.

Dear Friends,
The IELTS score depends on your profession. Like a doctor having IELTS score of 5.5 would naturally raise doubts, on the other hand a plumber with 5.5 band should be fine.
And YES the VO makes the final decision no matter how much points you have.

My proffession is in Occupation list
2113 - Geologist, Geochemist, Petrophysist.
Myself and My spouse are PG with 17 yrs full PG degree holder.
Will this Individual IELTS score will trouble in processing.

Pl suggest. My case is in process i submitted all documents
in Dec,2010 (before one year).

My score was 5.0 and i just received mu PR.I am pre june 2010 applicant.
Do not worry about that

I f you have more than 67.points do not worry about IELTS results.My case confirming that.

I am in the same frame of application. I applied in April,2010 under
NOC 2113, All documents with IELTS requested and I sent.
Now I am worried about my IELTS score .
I attended IDP and got L=5.5,W=5.5,R=5.5 and S=5 over all is 5.5
But in points calculations it will 7, but in documeny=ts requiremnts letter it was expected
8 points.
The situation is total score of my points including this 7( IELTS) will 68.

Was the same requiremnt ( 8 points in Ielts else ) in your case?

Thanks dear Purkoni,
Two question is here again
1) Medical and Passport request will ask together or will there any gap 2/3 months?
2) I sent PCC for for countries (2) where I was working more than 6 months.
Now waiting too much so join recently( from Jan,2012) 3dr country.
If I cross 6 months stay here.In this situation can CHC ask me for
PCC of this new country.
If any idea pl suggest......
