why are ppl making stuff "like majority of international students and all that" how on the earth you all know that majority of int students got picked up because im pretty sure 50% of us r still struggling !
I am a PhD student in Canada. You can count your research assistant experience only when you have done it outside Canada. In canada, on a student visa you cannot count RA experience towards CEC. I managed to get PNP by counting my FSW experience as a RA in a university and as a lecturer in another.DIbraheem said:Anyone here is an international student with work experience as a research assistant while he is a full time student? And did he count his work years while he is a student as a canadian work experience?
There wont be only 600 noms. Look in the forum lots of applicants has received OINP nomination from 1st to 10th I think there were 800-900 PNP candidates in this draw.vensak said:So now all those low level applicants with LMIA are gone (you cannot complain of that anymore).
When it comes to PNP nominees they do have their own quota. (this is stated separately in the yearly quotas). So if they issue more PNP, then they will issue more ITA accordingly.
Now we had like 2000 people called today (almost). And lets say that like 600 of them are PNP. So that is still like good 1300 left there.
And that was the static picture of 4 weeks collection of candidates on the top spots. Yes it will go down a bit, but do not forget that new people will always come to the system or the current candidates will improve their score.
I do not see any drop to 450 any time soon. I would say with this most likely ITA will go stay long time over 470 points.
Not all people that got PNP will go through EE system. Many of Nova Scotia will go with paperwork system. Everybody with Manitoba and good 1/2 of Saskatchewan as well.fatani said:There wont be only 600 noms. There are plenty of immigrants there every year. Employer does not care who will do the job as long as the job is done properly. If you have low score it is your problem to get it higher. Employers still have wide choice.Sapsan said:I'm curious whether employers would start complaining about ban (literally) of hiring professionals from overseas, who have CLB 7 and therefore not collecting required ITA score even with job offer points (50).
U should av an Ita already?Evkaz said:I am sitting with 497 with visa expiring in beg of May should I even bother or just start packing up?

474 looks to be a decent score with fair chances. What visa is expiring? Is it work or visitor?Evkaz said:lol sorry I am still under effect
