Hello, everyone! I came here as a suggestion from a friend. I will give you as much detail as I can from my current situation. I currently have a post graduate work permit in Canada.
This is my CRS from the CIC website
- I am divorced
- 27 years old
- Two or more certificates (one bachelor from my country in physical education that has an ECA and a two-year diploma in practical nursing from Canada)
- My ielts was done in may of 2018 and my score is 8.0 in listening, 8.5 in reading, 8.0 in speaking and 7.0 in listening
- I have no job experience in Canada (currently employed full time as a coach with 31.5 hours a week, but haven't completed a year)
- I have 3.5 years of job experience as an administrative assistant in a company in Brazil (NOC 1241)
- I have no certificate of qualification
- No valid job offer supported by LMIA (will be considered a job offer after working for a year without needing a LMIA from what I have understood)
- I have no nomination certificate
- No relatives living in Canada
This gives me 483 points in the website. Since I have no nomination certificate and I have not completed one year of work, I am applying for the Federal Skilled Worker (if anybody knows if I can use another category I am open to suggestions).
However, I have tried creating multiple express entry profiles and it says I am not eligible. Here is what the feedback from the website said
"Below are a few examples of why a candidate will be found ineligible:
• not having a valid language test (I do)
• language test results that are more than two years old (Mine was done last month)
• a language test score that is too low (I got CLB 9)
• not having enough relevant work experience (Not sure about this one)
• not having the required education level (I have 2 post secondary)
• not having enough funds (Also not sure about this one)"
I have discussed with a few friends who have applied for it in the past. Here's what I have tried and what they speculated
1 - I finished my university in Brazil in December of 2011 (full time), but I was hired in January of 2011. In Brazil it is normal to study at night and go to work during the day, but my friends thought that the system might not compute both things at the same time.
2 - I have put my occupation as a licensed practical nurse (NOC 3233) (I graduated in December of 2017 but just got my license from the College of Nurses in May of 2018, so I put I was qualified to work in May of 2018. Not sure if that is relevant or not since I am completely lost). And I have also tried to put my occupation as an administrative assistant to match my work experience even though it will not be my job in Canada (I was desperate haha) as well as putting as a coach (NOC 5252)
3 - The funds could be the cause, however I do have a work permit and a full time job, so I am not sure how could that be an issue.
Could anyone give me some light in this issue? I highly appreciate any help.
