Lets discuss. Are there really that many people in the pool with CRS of over 470?

Can you imagine how many people will be between 460 to 469? :(

Agree.

Should consider that this 2..4k include those who applied after Nov 2 (last draw) and those who were already in the pool @470 and 471

I think your assumptions are wrong. I read somewhere that there were 1000 nominations were given By OINP. In between nov 2 to nov 16. And lot of LMIAs also rushed in because of changes so there were lots of people above 600. Thats why it reduced only 2 points.

Possible. The demographics will change completely next time.
I personally think CIC should bring in some transparency on the ratio of each category of ITAs. Making predictions easier is a good way to decide if some one like me (who does not have Canadian experience or education ) should really go for it or not.

Great thinking. I hope someone from CIC reads this.

Yeah, I wonder why the ranking is hidden though..

A database of candidates with no personal identifiers showing the number of candidates at different score levels will be really ideal. It will help people really plan and know their chances. This sort of transparency doesn't harm anybody does it?

You are very positive minded and I like you.

Can you provide a link to these because if true it will make a lot of sense and allay my fears.

I was expecting at least a 7 point drop with the increase in the number of ITAs.

Think CIC really wants applicants in some particular NOCs to be chosen. That's why a draw takes place today, in order to favoured some NOCs with LMIA rather than deferring it after Nov 19.

If any mass program's success is in arousing people's curious by keeping them in the dark..CIC is doing a good job so far! :-X

Maybe its because this way more people PAY IELTS and ECA hoping they will get it.

Don't think so, that's why the reforms took place, to reduce points for LMIA.

Also, Immigration Francophone push for reforms on them as the way they are presently operating is unfair, as can be inferred :p

We won't see the effect of these PNP nominations on CRS cut offs after a few draws, because these provinces send out nominations in bulk in phases. So I think Ontario which sent nominations in the last few weeks won't be sending out more after December until fall next year.
