Hello All,

I am new to this website so I ask for your advice. I am getting 476 points in the calculator and waiting for WES assessments to arrive to start the EE profile. I do not have a job offer. Can somebody tell me what my chances are, how long it would take before I can receive an invitation and any good forums for people in similar situation?

Thanks!

Your chances are very high! You most likely will get an invite in the next draw as per the declining trend since the beginning of the year. I suggest you gather your documents - police report, WES assessment, medicals and proof of funds- and wait. Good luck! :)

Thank you for this info!
Is there a website, or forum here that has a detailed list of documents that will be required once invited to apply?
Also, what is an acceptable amount of funds that they will accept? (I am married, no kids). Any page I can be directed to for that info?

If you have created your profile already and in the pool you should receive the ITA in the next draw. Good luck!

Thank you, but I have not, as I am waiting to have the WES evaluation completed. I do have an additional question regarding that, and hope somebody can help me:
I received a WES USA evaluation almost 2 years ago to study in the US where I currently go to school (Master's degree). How can I have "WES USA" send "WES CANADA" all the documents I had once sent them so they can asses them?. Is that even possible? In addition, how do I show proof of "Study toward a Master's degree"? does that also have to be evaluated by WES?

What I am trying to do is get 22 points with "A 3 year or more post-secondary credential in combination with any of the post-secondary educational credentials**

I finished my bachelors degree (5 years) in Colombia and I am now half-way through my masters degree in the US. But I don't want to wait until I get my masters to complete my EE profile, as that would take an additional year and the point difference is not that big.

This is a note from the EDUCATIONAL CREDENTIAL ASSESSMENT CONVERSION TABLE
**Note: Post-secondary educational credentials could also include Post-Bachelor's or Post-Graduate Credentials as follows: Post-Bachelor's Certificate; Post-Bachelor's Diploma; Graduate Certificate; Postgraduate certificate; Postgraduate Diploma; a two-year Postgraduate Diploma, specializing in [name of discipline]; a one-year Postgraduate Certificate in [name of discipline]; and, Study Toward a Master's Degree.

Most of the information you need are online on the CIC website and on this forum. Just do some basic google search and you should get the answers you need for Proof of Funds easily

as far i know, WES US will not send to WES Canada, you will have to create new account in WES Canada and submit documents once again.

studies in progress cannot be evaluated , until it is completed and degree/diploma is awarded..

Any idea of how the "3 year or more post-secondary credential in combination with any of the post-secondary educational credentials**" can be evaluated?
The website says "Study toward a Master's degree". What do they mean by that then? It is clearly in a different category then Masters degree.

Thanks much.

depends upon WES evaluation.. if your two studies Bachelor ( 3 years) and post secondary education are evaluated to Canadian equivalent with one of them to 3 years and another post secondary of 1 year or more.. then you should able to get points under "Two or more Degrees" category in EE.

Hello everyone ,

Wes report says
bachelor degree = bachelor degree 4 years
Master of arts = post graduate diploma 1 year

The question is here in the education section while calculating or in profile what should i choose ? as there is no option like post graduate diploma.i understood master degree is not equal to canadian masters degree.

God bless all

If you have a Bachelors degree (4 years) and a Master of arts that has been evaluated as a "Post graduate diploma of 1 year of studies" then you choose
"A 3 year or more post-secondary credential in combination with any of the post-secondary educational credentials".
For some reason, your Master of Arts has not been evaluated as a Masters degree in Canada. In what country did you attend obtain your "Master of arts"?

Yes you can. Just Contact WES Canada and let them know that u already got WES 2 years back for education purpose and now you wan to applied for ECA for immigration. Let them know ur US WES ref. number so they can link ur WEC canada account. P.S you still have to make new account on WES Canada website and filled out the application and make payment for that. However, you dont need to submit any documents. You will get ur report within 20 days once your payment is done.
