You do not have to upload your IELTS, they can check the results with the test report number that you've submitted.

Updating Profile

I am CEC Inland - when i created my profile i mentioned $2000 as funds, as it was not necessary to show 15000 for a couple, when u have a job.

Not sure, should i change the funds now, or keep it as $2000 only.

Letter of Employment = an experience letter from you current employer saying that you are working there.

Query regarding Offer of Employment and Letter of Employment -

Not able to differentiate between 2 as there is no such explanation in CIC.

Offer of Employment - I guess this is the job offer letter.

Not sure what is to be mentioned in the Letter of Employment?????

I uploaded my T4 and my last 4 paystubs. As long as you prove that you have a a job in Canada you don't have to show POF

Hi Friends,

I have received my ITA on 2 Nov 2016 and have some serious confusion on my work experience representation.

At the time of express entry profile creation and submission, I selected 0213 and shown all experience from July 2006 till date under the same category, which is true as well as I have been managing IT systems, clients, service delivery etc since then.

However, when I started filing PR application, I realized my designation in last organizations at the time of reliving were following :

- First job - Analyst - Service Delivery Coordination (4.5 years)
- Second job - Consultant - Delivery Assurance (1 year)
These titles are more suitable to NOC 2171

- Third/Current job - Manager - CRM, which matches with NOC 0213 (5 years)

My questions are :

- Can I change my NOC to 2171 for first and second job, which is nearly 5.5 years of experience (third job is 5 years - 0213)
- Should I continue with NOC 0213 and justify in letter of explanation regarding the job title mismatch with the role? (my employer should be fine to vouch for me either ways)

Also, in my first job I joined as Associate Engineer Trainee etc, do I need to mention all positions in first job, should I select different NOC for that?

Your expert comments and guidance would be really appreciated.

1 - You can make changes in NOC as long as there is no change in your CRS, you can then write a Letter of Explanation regarding the fact that you made a mistake choosing the right NOC.

2 - If you're not claiming points for that Associate employment, better to put it in the personal history section.

I have received an ITA on 2nd November with CRS of 473. Can someone please help me out on this ?

My employment history is as follows

Company 1) Sept 2009- May 2011 which was in london uk ( I currently reside in mumbai and have all employment docs like contract, end of year P60 forms, salary slips for all months and relieving letter), I have been advised by my colleague that the company has been shut down in 2012 or 2013 (not sure about the date) . There is no evidence about this online or with any one who worked there. There is not even a remote chance of me getting a reference letter or any evidence about its shutdown... ( Question 1 What are the alternatives to this for getting a reference letter in the specified format ? Question 2) Can I obtain a letter from a colleague who shared the same designation as me to write me a reference letter and ask him to confirm my job duties and responsibilities ? Or i will have to find a team leader/supervisor. manager ? Question 3) Do i need to get any documents from my colleague like, his/her present employment business card or employee Id ? or his/her contact details.




Company 2) Sept 2011 - march 2013 ( I have all employment docs like contract, offer letter, appointment letter, pay slips ONLY OF LAST 3 MONTHS, end of year form 16, AND relieving letter) .
Now Human Resources is not willing to issue me a reference letter as it involves duties and responsibilities which they say they cannot confirm AND cannot issue any letter as I have already received my relieving letter.
However i asked my manager to confirm my duties and responsibilities which he did over an email and he has mentioned that "CONFIRMATION ONLY FOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES , REST DETAILS HAS TO BE CONFIRMED BY HR. ( Question 4:- What are the alternatives as i reckon HR will not issue me a reference letter ? Question 5:- Do i need to get any documents from my manager like, his/her present employment business card or employee Id ? or his/her contact details.


Company 3) April 2013- till date....Self employment - I am a partner in 3 different partnership firms and none of the FIRMS ( COMPANY ) are registered, I have all 3 registered partnership deeds, PAN CARDS for all 3 firms, Service tax and VAT Tax Registration certificates for 2 firms but not the 3rd one. Current account bank statements for all 3 firms, letter from bank stating that I am an authorized signatory on all 3 firms, Income tax returns for previous 2 years but don't have Income tax returns for current year. (FY 2015-2016).


(Question 6:- My VISA consultant advises me that I do not need to worry about current employment as the employment requirement is of 3 years and my previous 2 employment comprises of 3 years or more so I need not worry to collect documents about my current employment ? how true is this ?
Question 7:- Regardless of the situation if current employment docs are required or not, should i anyway submit the documents mentioned above about current employment?
question 8:- will the above documents be enough of current employment ?
question 9) in case of reference letters, should I get 3 different reference letters ( for same employment and same employment period/duration) from one partner of each firm?



Question 10) will it affect my application if I don't submit my current employment docs ? and just mention in personal history or personal information. ?


Question 11) will it affect my application if both reference letters (of previous employment company 1 &2 ) are not on company letterhead but just confirmed by colleague and manager ?


Question 12) Considering all the other documents are in order like medicals, Police certificates from 2 countries, Proof of funds ( Gift Deed from Mom ), Photos, passport, IELTS, Education docs, ECA, Birth certificate ETC ETC ... and the above mentioned work related docs.... WHAT ARE MY CHANCES OR GETTING A PR. ?

If anyone can please answer any of the questions mentioned above your help and wisdom would be highly appreciated.

( Any inputs/ Suggestions/ Recommendations are always welcome )

Hello everyone,

I have received a ITA in 46th draw. I've searched through many, many threads and I couldn't find a satistying me answear, I hope that someone will help me, or point in a right direction.

I am invited to apply under CEC. My concern is about proof of funds. I have seen posts that under CEC you don't have to show POF, but some say you do have to.

I stated in my application that I have 12000$ but I didn't know that I would have to show 6 months statement from the bank. My parents wanted to give me this money as a gift, but now if they wire it to my account, I won't be able to show I had it long enough. Can anything still be changed in the application, like changing the amount of money to smaller amount that I can document on my account for past 6 months?

Did anyone have a similar situation? How did you do it??

3) In my case, my name in Xth, XIIth, Engineering and first organization were Vivek S (Initial was not expanded). When my first passport was made, I expanded the initials to reflect my father's name. In the application, I had mentioned that I was previously known by another name. This has now entered a new document to be uploaded to prove legal name change. I am thinking of changing the answer to "NO" because technically I have not changed my name. Any thoughts on this one?

4) In the EE profile, I had put my work experience. Is it safe to remove this now so that we dont have to upload proof of work experience or should we still go ahead to strengthen our case?
