I am at 451 following your answers from now. :P

Well thank you. If there is a draw of 1600 ITAs tomorrow, we are in. Otherwise it's gonna be a long wait. 925 applicants with lowest score 469, it seems we need regular draws of 1400 ITAs every 2 weeks to have a stable cut off of 450. Apparently it's more than CIC's target.

Some people will say that it depends on the number of new applicants. Yes it's true but it will not drop in at least a few months. Can't you feel that people are working on their PNP, LIMA, IELTS, WES...They will be getting it.

Standing at 452. Finger crossed. BUUUUT, the 7th draw simply showed 925 new applicants with lowest score 469 joined the poll within 2 weeks. Simple maths is if CIC draws 1000 applicants every 2 weeks and they will hit the target of 25,000. Meanwhile, if high scoring applicants keep coming at this pace, I am gonna really need some luck here.

Please somebody prove me wrong.

I still believe that 7th draw was sort of abnormal because of high rejection rates of ITA that were issued in the last few draws. Of course this is just a speculation and we will see what happens on the 8th draw. However, as I mentioned previously I still strongly believe that if you are above 450 you are in good shape. My score is 468 and yes I missed by a point :D

In my opinion wait for 8th draw and then make a decision.

Do anyone as any idea, how many applicants’ are in the range of 400 – 469?

From draw 6 to 7, 925 new applicants with 469+ points joined in 2 weeks (This is the only clear pattern), let's say 450 new applicants with higher than 469 per week.
In draw 6, 1600 ITAs issued, to people from 453 to 480, with some newly added applicants with 480+ points. So approx. 40 to 50 people per points in range 453 to 480. Number of people per points gets higher for lower points.

Just curious. Where are you getting this 25,000 number from? The cap of 25,000 was for the last Federal Skilled Workers program under the old system ending Jan. 1st, 2015, not Express Entry. I could certainly be wrong, but the sources I found only reference the 25,000 cap under the pre-Express Entry program. The only thing I have read as far as caps for express entry goes is a max of 25 draws and ~181,000 total including ALL immigration programs.

So that would suggest a number potentially higher than 25,000 but certainly far lower than 181,000 because EE is only one arm of the Canadian immigration system (for now).

hi guys...may I know how did you got a 400 and up points? which part of the categories that gives you a higher points on the CRS system....I got 340....all exams are done both IELTS and ECA...hope someone can enlighten me here..thanks

Ugh newbie move on my part. I am not allowed to post links for some reason, but the 25,000 cap is wrong but. For a source search for the thread titled "I have xxx points when can I expect ITA"

I remember sb stated that 25k and quoted the CIC 2014 annual report. Something like "25000 cap was made to prepare for express entry". If you read in context, that line is clearly saying the 2014 cap in FSW. They created 25000 seats for FSW 2014 to prepare for express entry 2015. I guess somebody just don't know how to read.

Easiest thing to improve score is max out language test.
