4 years limit - WorkPermit ICT

Hi,
I was working in Canada from Jan- 2012 till Sep-2016 with ICT Work permit. I had to return to India, due to the rule that maximum 4 years with Work permit. Now, I see this change www dot cic dot gc dot ca/english/resources/tools/temp/work/cumulative.asp, Can I extend or apply for new work permit?

maybe clarify working Jan 2012 through Sept 2016, 4 years 9 months. When does your current permit expire ?

My current workpermit expiring in 30-Jan-2017, and I am in India now.

I am worried about below statement from laws-lois dot justice dot gc dot ca/eng/regulations/SOR-2002-227/section-200.html

Exceptions

(3) An officer shall not issue a work permit to a foreign national if
...
(g) the foreign national has worked in Canada for one or more periods totalling four years, unless

(i) a period of forty-eight months has elapsed since the day on which the foreign national accumulated four years of work in Canada,
