At the moment I just applied for ainp nomination. Hopefully I will get it in the march-july 2015.
It is my 2nd year in Canada as a worker (low-skill).
My work permit will expiry in february 2015.
If this new rule about the duration of 2 years instead of 4 will be effected in summer 2015, i can still get my another work extension for a year only. Of course I wont get pr by the end of my new work permit.
And what to do in this case? Because after summer 2015 I wont be able to extend my work permit anymore.

bridging work permit will be 1 yr and not subject to x-years maximum.

From what I read on esdc website the 2 year rule only apply to new work permits processed by Summer 2015. The 30% cap and the 1000$ fee is effective immediately.

(Limit Duration for low-wage TFWs- Summer 2015)
now it is summer 2014 :( :(

It was summer 2014 this morning and when i checked it again this afternoon its summer 2015 again. Guess rules change by the hour.

ehh.. well it sounds a bit better.
I called to CIC today, they said we dont know that. Where did you get it from.
:D

Hi any idea if I have an application in place under Alberta Nominee Program and I have reached my 4 year cap (April 2015) and still being processed by AINP office?
Will CIC consider an extension of my work permit even though it says that I have to exit because I have reached my cumulative duration? My concern is processing time is 8-12 months. I am worried that processing time will pass my work permit expiry. We don't have any control over the changes in processing time, however, will CIC consider this?

Worst case scenario, if I do exit, will my application be canceled? Thanks for your input.

Hello guys at the moment the 4 year rule is still in place,I had called the CIC contact center. The two year limit is only for positions which fall below the median range from next year.
