I am from Nepal. My application been 34 months I am still waiting for decision on my application it’s already exceeded the average processing time(12 months). In 2014 immigration ask me some additional document between me my husband which shows our relationship. I sent these documents on June, 2014. we did arrange marriage. After marriage I didn't get enough time to stay together only 2 months because he need to go back Canada. I have 10 years age gap with my husband. I was 19 and he was 29 at that time. Is this negotiable age gap????? We don’t have any kids. CIC even didn’t set up any interview still now. I have completed all the process as per requested by CIC. I did 2 times my medical both are expire. Recently, again they ask me new medical. This is the third one. My husband made few inquiry from Member of Parliament from Canada CIC said have been done background and security check now still doing review and verification? How long dose it takes for review and verification???

I don’t have any travel history. Now I become mentally very weak. How long they might take other more? Does police report and medical expire every year? Any applicant has same situation or any way to speed up my application process? It will be great if any applicant share your valuable suggestion, ideas and experience.

A 10-year age gap where the husband is the older one is not the problem. I would have your husband go back to his MP and ask if they can find out what is taking so long. If there is an interview, the visa officer will want to see proof of communication since the marriage, so start collecting that now (if you have not already). As well, your husband should be making efforts to come visit you regularly.

CIC told for the MP - doing varification. Dosen;t have any ideas about interview. I used to talk with my husband on skype and viber to maintain our relationship and as a prove as well. He might vist Nepal soon.

Thank you.

I am sorry to hear about this exaggerated wait time you are currently going through. Stay strong. Makes me wonder if this situation requires proactively requesting an interview... ??? ??? I wonder if someone did this already. I wonder what they would reply to this request.
