I was in Oregon and Washington State hours before I wrote that post. The temperature was almost the same. So that means at least the US Pacific Northwest is part of the Great White North?Alurra71 said:Get enough coffee this morning, Steaky? I was responding to the OP talking about how cold it was in a couple various places in Canada. Canada is referred to as "The Great White North", that means the entirety of Canada, not just part of it.

No, but apparently the idea an entire country being known as "The Great White North" is lost on you, so I will not try to expound on this further.steaky said:I was in Oregon and Washington State hours before I wrote that post. Sorry, but when you write about Winnipeg in January, Thailand just seems to come up, it's very peculiar I can't imagine why.links18 said:Is this thread about Winnipeg or Thailand? 8)
It was -51 with the wind chill in Winnipeg the other day. Just another typical December day in Winterpeg, Frozentoba.
Someone prefers to talk about Thailand on a forum about Canada.on-hold said:Sorry, but when you write about Winnipeg in January, Thailand just seems to come up, it's very peculiar I can't imagine why.

Canadian passport is the only thing this country is good for.
By all means please do, and don't make excuses for not doing it.AAL1984 said:+1000000000
I agree, it's a big beautiful world out there, get out and explore. Life is too short to waste it freezing to death. All Canadians who can afford to do so retire abroad, and Thailand is one if the popular places to go, along with Mexico, Belize, Costa Rica , and Of course the good old USA.
I can't wait to move out of Canada to somewhere nice and warm, don't want to wait till retirement.
just came back from a trip to northern Thailand actually, went up Doi Inthanon national park where we had 5C in the morning, Vancouver this morning was 9C so...links18 said:Is this thread about Winnipeg or Thailand? 8)

Don't forget to add the wonderful countries of Libya, Tunisia, Sudan, and Indonesia as well.
-15C today yet sunny. ;D
No, apparently that idea is a joke - "The Great White North" probably refers to the northern part of Canada. So you won't need trying to expound on this further.Alurra71 said:No, but apparently the idea an entire country being known as "The Great White North" is lost on you, so I will not try to expound on this further.
That's crazy!AAL1984 said:Heard on news that some poor guy from Omaha Nebraska was driving through Winnipeg and got his car stuck in the snow, a group passing by helped get his car out of the snow then one of them drove of with it.
Winnipeg has to be the *censored word*holes of *censored word*holes, like I've never seen a more dirty city in my life, Buffalo looks better. Winnipeg is just plain nasty, nothing but cold, mosquitos, Native gangs, *censored word*ty roads, run down buildings, overall a nasty ass city.
