I can't see how under current circumstances OINP criteria can remain the same. If they start sending PTs again to everyone above 400 points, they will exceed the quota in a matter of hours. It only seems logical things will change with the PNs, and it looks pretty gloomy for everyone blow 470ish waiting in the pool. I feel like we will see the threshold back to 460-470, but no way it will go below that, all things considered.

I am looking into graduate programs in Canada. It seems like the only chance for people like me.

CIC fooled us (a number of us) at least once, when they opened the PhD stream and rejected almost everyone.
I am in Canada for 6 years, I applied under PhD stream and got rejected because of NOC definition.
I am in the EE pool and had 452 points (because I am married). The minimum points got the ITA was 453. Then We got ECA for my wife and our points became 460. Exactly in the next round the number of ITAs went from 1500 to 1000, and the minimum points went up to 470.
I believe CIC has to inform people about the status of their intake and their plans to clear the fog and help us plan for our life.

I agree. CIC should come with a plan, so that things dont change drastically suddenly.

I'll have 474 once I get my Masters evaluated..I'm not even sure I have hope now.

Same here. I am currently on 441 and once I get my Masters evaluated, I will have 481 InshAllah. How long ago did you apply for your ECA and from WES or CES? It's been 10 weeks for me through CES.

OINP never sent PT notifications to everyone over 400 points.

so, is it a lottery system that OINP follows with those above 400CRS? how do they determine whom to send PT to?
thanks

I am at 450 with WES still have not completed my spouse's ECA yet. I would then get to 460.

This draw was a surprise really. Does anyone know what kind of targets CIC has for the year?

Why are there are so many people who simply have negatives to say. No one should ideally look for encouragement over here :P

While calculating the CRS score.. what does this point means
Do you have a certificate of qualification from a Canadian Province or Territory? (Skilled trade occupations)

Also my current CRS score is 408.. What are the chances of getting an ITA or should PNP ontario will be ok for me ..

That score can only be achieved by a CEC, adding 80 points to someone already in 455+ range otherwise.. else all others must have been 600 above with either Job Sponsorship or a PNP nomination!!

can anyone please help me in my query in the last post.....

Did you do any course in Canada? If not then ignore it.
ITA directly through EE is impossible. You might need to look for nomination.

Just a degree from Canada will not work. It should be related to occupations like electrician, plumber, chef, cook, butcher etc.

I did one year course in IT AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Then I worked as a office administrator assistant NOC B..
So now tell me whether it will work or not..
Plus how can I apply for ONTARIO PNP IF NOT GO TO ITA..
Am I eligible ??

IT is not a skilled trade occupation.
If you have selected Ontario as one of the provinces you are interested in then Ontario has a chance to look at your EE profile and might invite you to file an EOI.
