Dear All

I am 33 year old person working in Dubai want to apply student visa. I have two small kids aged 7 and 3. I am having more than 10 year experience as Accountant. I completed my MBA in 2010 specialised in Finance and marketing.
Please suggest some of the good and affordable programs to apply. Also should I I all for masters or PG diploma. What are the chances of getting visa approval with more than 10 years education gap with family.
Your valuable comments will be very helpful.

Thank u

If you have a MBA then look at another masters that builds on your MBA. What is affordable to you with a family? No one can tell you chances as it is based on funds, career and education progrression, ties to home country etc. You may want to apply without your family.

Will be pretty tough to prove that leaving a lucrative career makes sense especially with a family to support. Have you looked at immigration?

I was checking some videos, agencies they are saying chances are 50/50.
Agencies can’t really predict and your case is very obvious that there is no actual career progression unless you did a PhD or maybe a masters. You have been working it what I assume is a senior accounting role and likely in one of the large accounting firms or banks. If anything you may have to take a step back in your career if you move to Canada. You also have a family and your spouse isn’t working so you are the sole provider. You also are living in a 3rd country so you have even less ties proving you will return to your home country after your studies. You can certainly apply but you have a lot of obstacles and you are asking about affordable PG diplomas. It just doesn’t make sense. Whether the VO decides to overlook this is a different story. it would make more sense to find a way to immigrate.

If you have thought this through and convinced, go ahead and apply, applicants with so called weaker profiles than you are getting approvals everyday, and those with watertight cases are turned down.
Only way to know is to apply, all you stand to lose is the application fee, but be prepared for a long and interminable wait with no updates.
And read up on the process online and apply yourself, don't let some self styled consultant fool you with their expertise. The process is straightforward and most questions that you are going to have are already answered on this forum. Just search. Good luck!

I don't understand the point of Applications getting rejected when applied together. If IRCC is going to reject an application under such a clause, then why provide such an option to apply together.

To me, it looks like a myth as no one knows a definite answer.

Dear All,

A friend of mine and of the same age (33 years old) has received a refusal letter for her Study Permit application

The reason officially given for this refusal is weird, stating that ' Your ties to Canada is stronger than your ties to your home country'

How likely is it that this refusal is related to her age?

Any comment / recommendation is highly appreciated

Thanks,

As far as I understand from the comments and research done We still can apply. The success rate is very low.To get approval we need luck', strong SOP,how to convince why my family needs with you while you studying there. Also money back up.lastly it's with visa officer hand how they are convinced with your application.
I am going ahead with apply with family. If everyone can go I will go else will stay where we are.

If you are applying from UAE and are a citizen of one of the third world countries, I hate to break it to you your chances are already reduced to zero especially considering you are a mature adult. There is a chance only if you are younger and are pursuing studies from a well-reputed public university and spending top dollars or have got a scholarship. Any agent claiming otherwise is lying to you. You can use the search filter with UAE for more details. You must consider applying from home country when possible. Also applying with the whole family is a red flag to them. Most people usually get their study permit and then just apply for them separately.
