Hi, i'm new here. Just want to ask you guys if you have any idea how long it takes cic to notify applicants that they received your application? Has anyone here received any notification from cic? Cic received my application last sept 14, and noc 3152 is already 473, i'm bothered if i was able to make it within the cap. Thank you so much
I am a july8 applicant for 3152 and here's CICs reply to my inquiry as of sept15:
Good Morning,
Your application was received by our office and is currently awaiting assessment. You will be contacted in due course.
Thank you
D.A.
if u take the website literally, u make it into the cap.
but being realistic.... the website is not a very reliable source for the cap since it reflects the number of apps OPENED and reviewed for completeness and will be considered for eligibility processing and not necessarily the number of apps received as of that date. See this FAQ posted before cap opened (www . cic . gc . ca /english/information/faq/immigrate/skilled/changes-fsw-faq05.asp) Take for example what happened to 1122 applicants. Website says cap reached at August 22 but actually it was reached around July 8. As u can see on the July 2011 spreadsheet, CIC had started returning applications from the second week of July for 1122. NOC 3152 being the second fastest to fill, cap reached had been estimated to be around 2nd week of Aug (or earlier).
Based on the recent email that I had received and the cap count 473 (putting two and two together), CIC MIGHT mean that "we have received around 473 complete applications for processing under NOC 3152 around 2nd week of July". Worst case scenario. Pretty scary stuff :'(
When u think about it, there had been hundreds of nurses that did not make it into the cap last year and therefore, might have submitted as soon as the quota was reset. And 500 is a small number compared to all the nurses ALL OVER THE WORLD who want to migrate to canada. If say there are 50 countries that produce nurses (this is an understatement of course), then there will only be 10 applicants for each country. See what I mean? In the Phils alone, I've heard ONE agency gearing up to submit 50 mind-boggling applications once the cap opens. As for the other agencies...
Im not trying to burst your bubble here. I am honestly hoping that I am wrong. However, what we need to remember is the lesson learned in this situation: Only the most complete and fastest will make it. And well... there's always next year and NOC 3152 has been one of the in-demand occupations since forever.
Good luck to all of us.
