Canada's Conservative Party government will announce new immigration targets this week. Under the Conservatives, Canada has allowed in an average of 254,000 immigrants a year, and the number is not expected to change much over the next year. Immigration Minister Jason Kenney is planning several reforms which he says will lead to a flow of newcomers who will be predominantly young, well educated, highly skilled, and fluent in English or French.

zero chance for 3152 august applicants

received an email today

I would like to inform you that we have received 1 returned application package last Wednesday, October 20, 2011 from the Paranaque Postal Service. This application is for our client, a Registered Nurse, filed under the Ministerial Instructions 3 and sent via DHL last July 15, 2011 which was received last July 20, 2011 by the Centralized Intake Office (CIO) Nova Scotia, Canada as per report by DHL – courier company.

The application form that was returned together with the documents submitted was stamped received by the FSW Mailroom CIC Sydney, July 20, 2011 however attached to it is the letter addressed to the client dated 26 September 2011 informing that “her application was received after the maximum of 500 complete Federal Skilled Worker applications per NOC 3152 was reached”.

The posting on the www.cic.gc.ca website regarding the applications received toward the overall cap as of September 19, 2011 for NOC 3152 is 499 applications received. However please take note that below the numbers posted on their website it mentioned that “figures are meant as a guide only and there is no guarantee that an application sent in now will fall within the cap”.

If we will follow the above letter of the CIO and their guidelines, would mean that as of July 15, 2011 the visa office received a total of 500 applications already despite their first posting dated July 21, 2011 that NOC 3152 received was 26 applications only. And with this, the said client application was returned for reason of cap reached.

As of this date based on the reports previously sent regarding the applications given the assessment (whether eligible or non-eligible) by CIO the latest case submitted with decision was filed July 12, 2011 therefore for July 15 filed case the above client is our first case opened and returned due to cap reached.

From July 01 to September 30, our office was able to file a total of 477 applications for NOC 3152 – Registered Nurse. From July 01 – 14, our total filed cases (NOC 3152) were 107 applications while from July 15 to September 30 we have a total of 370 applications subject for return and may not be included in the quota of 500 applications.

As of now, this information is not yet a matter of menace because of this 1 case. Situation may change and we will have clear understanding on how CIO assess our clients under the NOC 3152 once we have further updates from the Centralized Intake Office (CIO), Nova Scotia.

thanks for this info i have a friend who submitted her application on July 15 and i'm afraid she did not make it also. she's not a member of this forum and i think i have to tell her however depressing it may seem. good luck then for the next ministerial instruction which may be out next year

sorry to bring down expectations of 3152 July 20 2011 applicants but our application was returned due to capped reached I just got the email from CIC today.

Hello Dears, I think they are planning to implement new immigration rules. Today they removed the "cap reached" red colored text from the list of 1122 and 3152 category. Some news available in the "RCI viva" link in the CIC home page and check the news with a title "ottawa ready with new immigration rule". I have tried to paste the link here; but not allowing.

this is an English forum.

if you scroll up and read everything. 3152 reached its cap before july 20. Chances are very slim if you sent your application after that date.

i received a response on the 8th of november..

application was received and processed on the 10th of august... i did not make it. i had an arranged employment but they did not honor it since my current occupation in canada is under the NOC level C... so so sad... i called CIC hotline and asked them if i can mail my new application 3 months prior the reopening of next year's cap but they said "no" because it is not an assurance that NOC 3152 will still be included in the list of eligible occupation..

i just hope they take away that CAP for certain NOC's because these are positions that are highly in demand here in Canada. if only i can find an employer who can give me an arranged employment under NOC Leve A, B, or 0 so i can resend my application and be cap-exempted.

Got this letter 2weeks ago. i applied on the17th of August

can someone post rejection letter, coz some are saying this and that and when you look at them they are new members only, and how come some July applicants are not receiving any mails, instead this weirdos August do? except for the above I suggest that don't believe this guys unless you receive our own, we can do it, if they fail we are different

Good luck nurses God bless don't let the doings of some disheartened you, that information might be true or not, but they must post the rejection letter

@Zerodise: If you or anyone who applied under Noc 3152 without arranged employment and have'nt recieved PER is still hoping for such, that hope is defeated.As many has said, that Noc reached between July 15-20.If you don't send an email to CIO, you will not get any mail from them, your package will just return to you with an explanation.And that takes upwards of 2months, depending on your location because its sent through regular mail.My application reached CIO on 8/8/2011,I emailed them and recived a reply after 19 days saying my application was returned on 19/10/2011.I've already initiated plan B, also hoping that our NOC will still be available come July 2012.So let's not deceive ourselves.Condition your mind and accept the fact.
