3 year work permit after doing 2 one-year certificate courses

I am currently pursuing a 'graduate certificate' program at Conestoga College and I am planning to take up another program to get a 3 year work permit.
Does the program have to be a "graduate certificate" or just a normal certificate program open to international students at Conestoga would do ? My consultant in India says that it has to be a pg course and the international office at conestoga says that a normal certificate would also make me eligible to get pgwp. I am confused.

any course will do.... u just have to spend time = 2 yrs in canada to get that work permit !

a normal certificate program may cause problems for ur study permit extension assuming u would need extension. Logical progression. Certificate course may be fine for PGWP though if thats ur only concern.

I am currently taking a post graduate certificate program, intend taking another one year program but just an undergrad certificate course, has anyone had problems with taking a certificate course during study permit extension...? I doubt it would be a problem because people get SP extension for taking GAS course.

i now got permit for 8 months graduate certificate program..
i wish to renew my study permit to do 1 year normal certificate to get 3 years pgwp,which is a trade program related to my study.
did this normal certificate program really cause any issue in study permit extension.
one more doubt..is apprenticeship only for canadians and pr holders?..it is somewat true in manitoba..wat abt in other provinces?

Hi! Did you complete 16 months/4 semesters of education for a 3 year PGWP? or a 24 months/6 semesters? Even I am planning to pursue 2* one year PG courses.

I got my study permit extended 2 months back for a normal certificate program after a PG program even in another province.I have some seniors who have done the same and will graduate in this august, so will let u know if we will get 3 years work permit..

In Saskatchewan it is only for Canadians and for PR holders.

Please do update once you get 3 years WP on the basis of your profile i.e. passing PG program first than a normal cert to spend 2 years in canada to get 3 years WP.

Anyone here can confirm me if diploma/certificate (of 8 months and more) obtained from colleges/institutions of only Quebec can lead to post-graduate work permit (PGWP)? Or diploma/certificate from other provinces too can lead to PGWP?

I would be grateful if someone provides clarification with relevant links, Thanks!
