Hi

I am applying the study permit to go to Winnipeg for studying automotive mechanic this Autumn.

My first submission was in March and I received the notice in April, I then got the CAIPS by mid May.

The note stated that the officer is not satisfied my proposed studies because my pervious working and education background is not consistence to this time study. And not enough information for how this study helped my career in future.

I am 30 years old, got a bachelor degree of Environmental Science in Australia and then worked in marketing field in Hong Kong for 4 years. I took my ielts last year and got overall 6.5 with no band lower than 6. I also got the Winnipeg institution offer in Jan this year.

After I received the CAIPS, I rewrote my study plan, and gave more detailed information of how automotive industry will grow in Hong Kong, little background of my parent's commercial business (not related to automotive), and how the study in North America will give me information to help for establishing my automotive business in Hong Kong. I have just submitted my application again in late May. But I am still very anxious about the result.

Here is more info about me, I am married with no children. During my study my wife will stay in hometown because she has a job with salary above average in Hong Kong. I have also included this information since my first application.

Do you guys think I can get the visa this time? If I got rejected again, what should I do?

Thank you very much for spending your time to read through my case. :)

You shouldn't have gone for automotive mechanic again as it neither relates to your previous studies nor work experience, even if you talk about this in your SOP, the VO won't be convince

How can you study environmental science and worked in a marketing field, and now going for automative mechanic, without evidence of any certificates or experience of it to show, only increase your chances of refusal again

if I may ask, what program you going for.. a Masters or PGD?

is Hong Kong your home residence or native homeland?

your chances of getting another refusal is higher than an approval

If you don't mind, I will like to take a look at your SOP and CAIPS notes johnpfyfasnow@gmail.com

I didn't know the choice of the course is that important because it was advised by my agent. Unfortunately they said they haven't encounter that before for any pervious application from my region. Anyhow, what done is done, just want to get it right from now on.

The program is college diploma not master nor PGD. I born in HK.

Just resent, it was a bachelor degree, but I haven't worked in that field after study.
Sorry to say, but your chances of visa are too low. You should always choose a program that adds to your current knowledge. By opting a diploma course after your bachelors study you are downgrading your knowledge instead of upgrading and also your course is not relevant to your previous studies and work experience. Your agent is surely misleading you. Still I hope you have written a good sop to convince vo, hope for the best ...!!!
