Hi

I have a question suppose my second PR card expiring in Nov 2012 and I would only able to apply for citizen ship in January- Feb 2012, If I travel out after appling citizenship for 3-6 months is it Okay and will not effect my citizenship application.

What I understand from someone I cannot travel out of Canada even my citizenship days are complete unless I get the passport.

Can someone clarify this, shall I tell immigiration on coming back home I have applied for citizenship if they want to check my status.

You are free to travel at any time. I recall somebody saying that if you leave for more than 3 weeks after applying for citizenship, you should let immigration know, not because you aren't allowed to but because they send you letters with fairly short notice to appear for exam and oath and they don't want you to miss them or they might need some data from you. You should also have somebody check your mail in case they send you something while you are gone but leaving is not a problem. You can even move to another country but if you did, you should let them know that you changed your address so they can send your mail to the right place.
