Good afternoon guys,

I'm a 27 year old Irish guy who has been working in the IT sector in Toronto since November 2009 and today just got notified that my 2nd Labour Market Opinion has been denied. I have been working with an Agency with a very large and well know Canadian retailer for almost a year and a half and have been told that my employers LMO submission has been denied on the grounds of there being lack of proof that a Canadian can do my job and due to lack of advertisment.

The first LMO was approved on the grounds that I was extended in my current position for a 6 month contact, the currect application is for a contact until April 2012. I've already submitted my Temorary Resident application as of March 16th so that is pending the LMO I guess.

Does anyone know the process from here on in, what is the process for appeal and what are my chances of acceptance? My Agency and the company I work for are set on providing letters of proof that they need me to complete this 1 year project.

Not that it matters, I also have a Canadian/Irish girlfriend who resides here and I am currently co-habiting with her.

Can anyone with some knowledge please advise??

Thanks,

kelKel

Have you used the the International Eexperience work permit yet for Ireland?

http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/ireland-irlande/experience_canada_experience/index.aspx?lang=eng

If so that would give you a year and you're gf could apply to sponsor you after living together the one year.
