Pre-Assessed..
Hi Everyone. I recently sent my full documents to manila visa office on July 1, 2010 and after a week, i recieved a letter with a new file number Bxxxxxxx (fes) and stating that they recieved my application and they will review it and determine I am eligible or not. Is this my 2nd AOR or just a letter that they recieved it? Does it mean that my application is complete and all they need to do is review it? On E-CAS it still says that CIO-S reviewed my application and they sent me a letter. I also read some posts here that if you see "visa office eligibilty review complete", it means refusal. Is that true?

after sending your full document, this is you got 2nd AOR and this file number will remain same till your process is finished.

Using this file number, you can check online status of your application as well. and for all future communication, you have to mention this file number.

i am glad that i got my 2nd aor within a week although the journey has just begun. i tried using this new immigration file number but it doesnt show me anything. i get this message,
"We were not able to identify you using the information you provided". e-cas might not be updated yet or something else?

Yes, that is your 2nd AOR. If the visa office determines that your are eligible, then your status will changed into In Process. If you are found ineligible, then it will not go into In Process, rather it will show as Visa Office Eligibility Review Completed. That is why it means rejection.

Ecas sometimes does not work in the interval between the two file numbers, however, if the problem persists, try sending a technical problem note to the Ecas Web Master. A spelling problem or other typos can cause the same problem.

thanks a lot guys. ill hope for the best and keep you guys posted.

Hi everyone. I got an update on e-cas but I dont know what it means.

We received your application for permanent residence on March 3, 2010.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on April 16, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Your application and supporting documents were received by the Manila office. They are pending review.

We transferred your application to the Manila office on April 20, 2010. The Manila office may contact you.

What do they mean by pending review? Why is my case being transferred? And will they contact me by phone or email? Is this good or bad? Sorry :-\, I didnt sleep well last night. I Got too excited and scared. :o One more thing, what happens next?

Hi bro. Just wanna ask you if you are also under FSW3? What are your timelines? My mom and my wife personally delivered my full docs to the Canadian Embassy in Manila. After a week, I got an AOR from them. It took us 2 months to gather all the necessary documents and have it notarized and validated. It sucks that they removed the FSW3 category so this is my only chance unless I get a skilled job or arranged employment here in Canada.

;) daymiel you are ok, just wait sometime then ur ecas will change ti in process

Just wait they are reviewing your file to asses you meet with 67 points? This status comes for every one. If next changes show "Visa office eligibility review complete than you will in trouble" or If changes to ?In Process? that means you are fine and than your Medical Instruction will come after it?

Hope this will help?

Thanks

thanks for the info. Hoping for the best. Btw how long does it usually take to review it? Is the Manila office slow or average? Darn! this is the worst part of the process, waiting. it feels like forever.
