Hi I am new to this forum and don't know whether anyone has been in the situation I'm in. I applied a first time for PR in September 2008, did my medicals in January of this year. Although I scored 80 overall, my visa was refused in March because I couldn't provide sufficient funds when they were requested. I re-applied in June. I am awaiting AOR. I would like to know whether if my 2nd application is approved I will be required to provide all the documents that I have already sent (police records, transcripts etc) or whether I will be asked only for updates (police records and funds). Since my medicals are not one year yet, will I have to re-do them should my application come through? Are documents kept on record for those applications that have been refused? Also my RPRF was requested at the time I submitted my full documents (June 2009) the first time. These fees have not been refunded. Does it normally take this long?

Thanx

Dear Spree,
Is ur case a Job Offer + AEO case?
Also when was ur case refused, seems more like March 2010 (not March 2009)?

From what I understand, you were probably a AEO case. And from what I know, you have to submitt all documents everytime you re-apply.
If you got a letter for refund, only then will your processing fees be refunded.
I am sure you did not give RPRF fees. If you did, you must have got some communication about the refund of that. (And it can take that long for refunds to reach you)

Cheers!

Also, if ur visa was refused, you can only use ur IELTS (validity one year).

Medicals you need to take again.

Hope you submitted all the required documents with your application this time

Good Luck!

Dear Shibuya,

You r right. As per the rules, they should not ask for POF.

But they do.

I was asked, and I know many more who were asked.

Surprising but true.

Hi all, I applied under FSW (NOC 4131) in September 2008. I was asked to submit full documents with RPRF in March 2009. At the time I didn't have the full amount of required funds but I did send a bank statement with the amount I had together with full documents in June 2009. So when my medical request came (November 2009), I was asked to re-submit proof of funds showing the full amount. I still was unable to do so, I did medicals (January 2010) and indicated to VO that I was waiting to sell my property and that I would have the sum required in June. However in March I received a letter stating that I did not have the required funds therefore my visa couldn't be granted.

I re-applied in June (11th) because I now have the required amount. I am hoping that my application will be accepted even if my NOC is no longer on the new list. I never took a language test I just submitted a statement showing that I speak both French and English fluently. I was hoping I wouldn't have to re-submit all the other documents since they take so long to get seeing that I have lived in other countries.
