Hello everyone,

I received my ITA in December end and I am pretty close to finishing the application.
I have one question and would appreciate your help:

My spouse is the primary applicant, as her scores are better. I didn't claim any points for my work-experience because I am mostly self employed and most of my employment records are unavailable. We did claim the points for my spouse's work experience though.

Now when I am filling the details for the application post ITA, I entered my 'work history' as required but later realised that I need to also submit respective documents (which I don't have). If I am not claiming any points for it, is it important to give all employment details for the accompanying partner?

Request you to please help clear this doubt.

I am in a similar situation but i have experience letters for my spouse ( co-applicant).

I havent submitted eAPR yet; but i have removed her job from her work history and kept it in Personal history. Planning to attach a LOE saying ; we donot claim any points for my spouse and hence not mentioning her work history.

As per

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/express/intake-complete.asp

Under section : Proof of work experience

Individuals who must submit this documentation

The principal applicant
Their spouse or common-law partner (if work experience in Canada is claimed)

If I remember correctly I'd done something like the below for my wife (who was co-applicant) on my PR application -

(1) Remove her work experience from work history section
(2) Ensure that her work experience is listed in the personal history section
(3) Write a letter of explanation stating clearly that you're doing that because you are not claiming her work experience as they don't add to your points, but that you have written it down in the personal history section.

Thank you so much. This has given me plenty confidence and I would do the same.
