Hello there,

I'm a PR Principal Applicant under Protected Person class. I applied last week February 2024. During the application I added my overseas spouse. Recently we are separated, and I let IRCC know about it via a web form. I requested them to process my PR application only.

My question, is it gonna take longer time than usual to process my PR though I'm withdrawing my accompanying overseas spouse?

How long does a refugee PR application from Alberta take? Applied October and so far nothing. Just wondering if this is within normal limits or should I be concerned? Thanks
lol relax. You applied like 2 months ago you are well within the timeline. Be ready to wait another 23-25 months before you get your physical card. There are thousands of applications before you still pending

Hi,
I recived my pr this september after my mother applied for us and in the application my father who is outside of canada was included in the application however we havent got any news on his application after "you are now eligable for pre-arrival services" letter but I heard that people who are on social assistance arent eligable for spousal pr is this true in my case or refugees are treated different and my father will be issued his pr?

Thanks for replying. I worded that question badly. Wanted to ask what was the average timeline from submission to getting AOR?
Update: received a letter with temporary application number today. Reading the thread, this is NOT the AOR, but at least got a response.

I applied in February 2024. Same situation, nothing is changing. Yesterday I checked the website for processing time, now the time has increased which is overall 26 months instead of 25 months.

Hello All!
Just wanted to share my time line , PR applied along with my family , though my family is outside Canada.
NOD received August 7,2024
Applied PR August 28,2024
AOR received Nov 26, 2024
Biometric request for myself and my spouse received Dec 27, 2024.
Also received a letter that my case will be process as per PILOT program.
Biometrics done dated 31st Dec, 2025.
Rest …. Still waiting.

I have a question and need experts opinion here please. With the biometrics letter instruction I received another letter DR2 request letter checklist addressed to my supposed saying that my wife has to do fill all the forms which I did already like IMM008, IMM5669 , IMM5409 , IMM5562 and attached all additional dox like passport copies , marriage and birth certificates ETC.... and if it was already submitted please don't resubmit.

I wanted to know that , do My wife has to fill all those forms again ??

would appreciate your support and help in this matter.

I wish everyone best of luck.

Hi,
To link your file with GC key make sure you put the number of applicants rightly.
If you along with your family applied from inside Canada put the total members and if your family is outside Canada just put 1 .
