Yes. The IRCC can get information if a 'Person' has an application pending for asylum in New Zealand ,Australia or other countries and the same person also applied and sought asylum in Canada. If an individual, is caught having multiple claims from different countries prior to the asylum application in Canada, there is a high risk of refusal for misrepresentation. Be honest with an immigration officer.
