October 22nd is when we applied, background check was in progress since December but finally everything was marked complete today along with the COPR number.

Hi all - got my COPR number generated and BGC completed on May 17. I applied Oct 19th for spousal sponsorship. Waiting on P1/P2
We have a planned trip for 4 days outside of Canada, not to the US.The travel dates are May 30 - June 4
Can we travel after responding to P1 email, assuming we get P1 before that? if we get P1 before that, what are our options?
My spouse has valid visitor visa/OWP. She's also employed, not sure if that'll help.

P1 should be answered whiles you are in Canada. It is a must. After P1 you should be good to travel. Even better if you get the ecopr

Thanks so much for your response. Won't my spouse's TRV/OWP statuses get cancelled when we respond to P1 since her ECOPR will be generated?

No it will not be cancelled. Just make sure that you reply to P1 inside Canada. So if you travel before P1 arrives just wait till you are back to Canada before you reply.

How long after background completed and copr details portal did you receive the P1? Mine is completed since May 6th but I havent received the P1 email yet

No it will not be cancelled. Just make sure that you reply to P1 inside Canada. So if you travel before P1 arrives just wait till you are back to Canada before you reply.
