2021 work Permit application Timelines

Hello all,
I applied for closed work permit for my own company under c11 category.
Application was submitter on 22 April 2021.
Biometrics given on 29 April 2021, they appeared in the application within few hours.
Medical Passed Update came on 29 April as well.
I got few ghost updates in the first week and wording of Background check changed as well indicating IP1 and IP2.
The next document expected is decision letter only(or might be any additional document request if they need one).

Please share your timelines for work permit applied in 2021

Yes, I applied from India. Because it was online application, it went to "in Canada office" for processing.

My agent forgot to attach some critical documents while submitting application. So I decided to send them via webform. Over there one of the yes/ no questions is "Did you applied to a office outside canada"? ( office outside canada not outside canada). I selected No.

I got a reply on 12th may:

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.

We are pleased to confirm reception of the document(s).

We have forwarded them to the responsible office for their consideration.

Furthermore, we verified the information you provided and can confirm that the application is still in process.

Due to the ongoing situation related to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), some IRCC offices are currently operating with reduced or critical staff only.

We are working on processing applications as quickly as possible; however, processing times are affected and any disruption caused by COVID-19 is not reflected accurately on our website. We will make all the necessary efforts to finalize the application as soon as possible.

Rest assured that you will be informed as soon as a decision is reached or if additional information is needed.

Furthermore, please note that there are two ways you can check your application status online. You can verify the status of your application:

• Submitted by mail (if it was not linkedto an online account):
  • by using the e-Client Application Status (e-CAS) online tool, which is updated daily.

In the end my webform details were attached. In which subject line was:

Nope...
Manually applied application to offices outside canada comes under category of applied to office outside Canada.
When I tried to send webform, if we select yes for question "did you applied to office outside Canada". It will further ask to select Delhi, Bangalore or Chandigarh(in order to send documents)
I applied online, so I selected No for question "did you applied to office outside Canada "
and in reply to webform query: IRCC said that my details are correct. And webform subject(which is system generated based upon drop-down answers said "In canada case specific enquiry".

Some of online applications do go to Canada for processing depending upon type of application.

Yes but I don’t think you selecting no in the webform would send your file to be processed in the Canada office
also the webform says in Canada case application which is actually wrong.
i am pretty sure your file will be in Delhi or Bangalore office for processing
also are you eligible for GSS stream ?

May be you are right. There are no clear guidelines where does the online applications go for processing. I am not sure to which office my file went to, So i selected no to " applied to office outside Canada ".
Moreover in reply mail IRCC told that my documents have been sent to responsible office for their consideration.

As I said to Bangalore or Delhi
i am in the same boat but LMIA based and different NOC and I have some friends applied for the same.
if you check this webpage in IRCC https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/service-delivery/coronavirus/temporary-residence/work-permit.html

you will see the list of occupations in the essential services category which are given priority, unfortunately neither your nor my NOC is listed there.
so our applications will be processed in the normal time frame and may face some delays/

but when you applied as of 22 April the processing time for work permit outside India was 10 weeks and you are still within the time frame.
One good news is your NOC 0013 is senior managerial category so you might have an advantage if the business is operating during this pandemic .

so just hang in there with hope

yeah no GSS stream then not eligible for 2 weeks processing.
