You should receive your temporary file number with 1-2 months of submission of your file. Then they will start processing and might not let you know. What you can do is that when you receive your temporary file number, it will start with an X then G. You can remove the X then try checking your application on ECAS: https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/security.do?lang=en
If you get an error on ECAS it means they have not started processing yet.

to add to that if you have not received the temporary number send a webform to see if they have got it or not. Thats what i did and then they sent me a temporary number

I have never seen a processing of a file being started sooner than 7 to 8 months.

Called ircc this week, criminality passed too, only waiting for security check to finalize, who knows when could it be.

Did you get update for criminality and eligibility on your cic account?
i spoke with ircc they told me criminality (background) passed but they’re still working on eligibility and then will do security. Only update u received was passed medical last month. Never received an update for background

I've got an email about eligibilty passed before my new medical.

I have a question, I got a positive decision approved as protected person but my kids were rejected but I added them in my PR application I am wondering if they are allowed to go back in home country as usual and are they allowed to use back home passport, because they are not eligible for Refugee Travel Document. You weren't accepted as refugee.

Today, my application at CIC reached 60% with ZERO updates since May 27(Medical passed). I am a May 2021 applicant. I sent a Webform and received a generic response with no specific info. I basically lost a $15,000 grant for my licensing fees just because I was not able to provide PR card. This delay is affecting everything from the time I can apply for Citizenship to more personal matters like family and work issues. I really don't know what is going on there but I know many including me have been damaged financially and emotionally.

I’m a March 2021 applicant and only got medical instructions in last month. But once it was done I received updates for medical pass, eligibility and pre arrival services. My dependent in Canada received medical request when I passed eligibility. I don’t know if I’ll get the eCORP anytime soon or they’ll hold on until my dependent passes the medical. The wait is a nightmare I understand your frustration as I missed lots of opportunitie$ too be patient
