Visitor visa Application for my Mom

AOR: Nov 13, 2022
Biometrics completed: Nov 22, 2022
Application Status Tracker was last updated on 2nd of May, 2023:

1. Biometrics - completed
2. Eligibility - completed
3. Background Verification - in progress

She has a flight booked on the 14th of July, 2023.

I sent a request form via the CIC website - did get an automatic reply "Everything is okay"...

What are the chances she can be still refused if Eligibility is completed and Background Verification is in the process (she is not a criminal and has never been in any kind of trouble )?

What are the chances she will get her PPR in the upcoming weeks? Not sure if we need to cancel/change the flight tickets...

26th of May, 2023 - Got a request to submit Details of Military Service form imm5546e (served in the army a long time ago).
27th of May, 2023 - Submitted form imm5546e.
29th of May, 2023 - Got confirmation that the document submitted was received and they were reviewing it.
30th of May, 2023 - Background verification was changed to Completed.
Application status is still In Progress.
No Visa details yet.
As for now, we have Biometrics, Eligibility, and Background verification completed.

Does anyone know how long does it take to receive the final decision if everything is completed?

I usually start the counts from the day bio-metrics were completed whence,
been waiting for a decision since April 20 2022 until now...no luck yet.

next steps are usually : BVL then (after 1 day or 2 ) Visa details will appear in the tracker And finally PPR ... SO did u received BVL (correspondant letter )

IRCC asked applicants before September 2021 to reapply, I did that in April 2022 with no response on both applications. My lawyer in Canada is applying on my behalf but I am a resident of Qatar so the application gets processed in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Hey... I have a similar case... I applied on 14th April 2022, BVL received on 14th April 2023 and now still waiting for PPR...

I applied from Qatar too on 31 july 2022 and got BVL ON 13 April 2023 and no OPR yet but there is Visa number and expiry on Tracker though.

We are similar.. I applied on 27th April 2022, 1st May cleared biometrics. 14th April 2023 received BVL.. Now waiting for PPR
