An immigration lawyer applied on my behalf and i get an update only when I inquire through them only. So far no response but the application status says that I do not need fingerprints, medical, additional documents or interview. It does say we “are reviewing whether you meet eligibility requirements” and also says “we are processing your background check”
This status is relevant to the second application as the layer says the first application is considered withdrawn or cancelled as they receive the second one.
Overall, it is a frustrating process especially when you see other applicants get their PPR in relatively much shorter periods.
I am not sure what is happening now with my application as other people advise me to reapply again. This I will not do again as it seems Useless and a waste of time and priority in queue if there is such a thing.
I wonder if Canadians know that there is no other country which takes this time to grant a tourist a visitor visa !! It took me 4 days to get US visitor visa, 9 Days for UK and around 12 for Schengen visa. 850 days and still counting to get a visa to visit Canada.

@Qatarian

Your lawyer applied on behalf of u

Did lawyer grant you permission to access login or lawyer check by himself?
and give you status update?
Please let me know this

2 applications, so far 6,000 USD
Sorry brother. It's just lost of money with lawyers. This is you even can do by yourself but it's ok now I understand why they are not provide you password because they are want to keep you in touch although application launch is not a big deal. Here we are mostly have apply byself and alhamdolillah getting visas. Lawyers doing nothing your own profile dose work. Anyway best of luck bro

The lawyer checks and gives updates upon my request. They said they cannot share password as that is for many clients
@Qatarian
This is every lawyer policy due to money
So do u have application form copy which lawyer submitted?

Because u still can access login without knowing lawyer if u have application copy

I know, I usually do these visas for me and my family without professional support. But I have a contract with this lawyer and obtaining this TRV is part of it. Otherwise, I would not have paid anything and done it myself
Understood *_*

yes i have checked.
it was updated to: eligibility completed AND background check in progress.
however, i do not have any document number nor issuing country at the moment.
my worry is, are 2021 applicants being treated now? or everyone who has exceeded their wait period, including 2022 applicants?
I have the same status for my Parents supervisa
Eligbilty,Medical complete
Biometrics completed
eligibility completed AND
background check in progress.
Same here for Parents supervisa
