I would start requesting as well, my file has had no updates what so ever since March, i am afraid, its collecting dust.
gotta pull records and have someone accountable for this madness..
You would do the same if you file collected dust too...just saying :)
Oh but I have. And my application is in fact collecting dust, I submitted it over a year ago, so I have more of a claim than any of you guys. But that's not my point at all. My point is how unreasonable it is to request a monthly ATIP, four months into the process, knowing that online applications are treated differently than paper ones. We've been saying it for months all over this forum. Anyway...

I passed my test 2 days ago but now I see all of my progress has been reset. Background check is back to in-progress. Test is back to not started. All the updates for 'waiting on you' for test and Background completed has disappeared. Is this a common occurrence?
Seems that I am not alone in this situation. Many other recent comments here mentioning the same issue: MEGATHREAD - Processing times - Canadian Citizenship applications (2022) : ImmigrationCanada (reddit.com)

Physical presence: 1761
Application: Single
Application sent: June 20th 2022
AOR: June 23rd
GU: Oct 7th
Request for more information: Nov 28th
Information sent: Nov 28th
Tracker status updated: Nov 30th waiting on you for more information.

A week later I sent the info again just incase they didnt get the email the first time. Still says waiting on you im tracker.

Wouldnt applying via paper application just create more of a back log for them to wade through?

Wait on them. They do not acknowledge and take their sweet own time to update the tracker.

Looks like IRCC has been working :p LOL getting their backlog under control.
now we just need to start seeing online application move fast.
I wonder what the number of trained staff for the online system is today, I would order an ATIP but lord knows it would take forever and a day to get that note so not even gonna waste my time.

Current Inventories

The citizenship inventory stands at 314,630 applicants as of November 30, compared to 331,401 on October 31.

The permanent residence inventory stands at 512,342 people as of December 2, compared to 506,421 as of November 3.

Also on December 2, the temporary residence inventory stood at 1,416, 125 people, compared to 1,537,566 persons as of November 3.

Therefore, there were reductions in two of the three major categories, with the biggest reduction in the temporary residence inventory.

Immigration CategoryPersons as of December 2, 2022
Grand total2,243,097
Permanent Residence512,342
Temporary Residence1,416,125
Citizenship314,630

Wow just 16,771 reduction in the citizenship inventory. At this rate if there are no other applications (lmao off course more people will apply) , it would take approximately 19 months to clear the inventory. It's clear that IRCC doesn't take citizenship applications seriously. One time on a call with IRCC I was told that citizenship applicants are the least of their priorities because they were mostly already in Canada and already have permanent residence status so IRCC is in no rush to process the applications. Guess they were actually telling the truth. I'll just relax patiently till the time I'll never have to deal with them anymore

Oh, that is 100% fact, they are trying to get more people to come work, since we are already here and are working, as far as they are concerned not a priority. I tell people Canada is not as advertised lol.

Its like we go through the stress of PR and waiting while our anxiety kicks in daily and we log in and check the tracker daily sometimes 10 times a day and then we go through citizenship and its the same.

SAD but the best part is

WHEN THIS IS DONE.!!!! ITS ALL DONE AND WE WILL NOT HAVE TO DEAL WITH IRCC AGAIN. so good luck to us all

My husband also had a ghost update today, Dec 17th. It says there’s new update but nothing changed. It is still the same where they are waiting on him for the citizenship test. But he already took it and passed on Dec 12th. Lol. The test portion still says In Progress. I’m assuming this is just them fixing the glitch that was happening to lots of people.
