We received a medical request ( for the second time becaus the first was expired) on july 23 2020. Qc applicant
That’s surprising. Thanks for correcting me. It does make it more puzzling why other have not gotten the request, though.

Maybe it is becaus we were march 2018 applicant so maybe after 29 months we were finally on the top of the stack of files lol the funny fact is that our medical was expired since sept 2019. Why did they wait till july 2020 To ask for another one? God knows why. They even sent us prearrival two months before asking for the new medical. It is so hard to understand how they work believe me !!

just sent my photo today, about to find out maybe in 4 months lol. but honestly, the hardest step is copr and i care less about the card
Agree to that, but you need PR Card if you intend to travel in coming days or months.... otherwise its a pain to go to embassy in the foreign country and applied for Permanent resident travel document and pay $50 every time when you will be coming back to Canada.... Therefore, its in our best interest to apply for PR card right away and then hope it will e delivered within the listed wait time on IRCC website.

The website says 128 days. My friend got hers a few days ago and sent in early May. Also it varies offices to offices. I sent mine to Etobicoke it seems the office is not fully opened. 2 people on the forum for theirs in 2 weeks from Windsor office

Hello guys. I'm starting school next week. We sent our CSQ app in March. And received the AOR on 20th of July. I was wondering if I should go ahead and apply for CAQ (study certificate) or wait for my CSQ. I need it before December 1st. Not to mention CSQ would save me 10k+ dollars on tuition due to Quebec residency. Do you think it will arrive by then?

I know when I did my documents for McGill, you had to be a Canadian citizen or PR to qualify for Quebec residency. A quick search on McGills website says there are exemptions for international students who are awaiting their PR, I've linked it here. But you need a CSQ, a study permit, and a letter from CIC to qualify. Make sure you're very aware what you need, and when your fees are all due. I know on my work permit, it specifically said I wasn't allowed to undertake any education, so just be careful if you don't want to get the CAQ that you also follow your work permit conditions.
