Hello everyone, i am new here, i apologize in advance if this has already been discussed previously but does anyone know if experience is required? I looked at the eligibility but it was not listed on there, however, i read in the older threads where some people said it was a requirement.
Thank you in advance!

I think so. If you’re apply for PR, yes it its a requirement that you have at least 1 year experience. Although with all the changes that happening, you might wanna check which path applies to you first.

thanks for your reply. I am an employer planning to hire my sister in law from the Philippines under the home child care provider pilot. She has a 4 year old son of her own, she has a job but not as a caregiver.

I think it would be best to call immigration to make sure. Although I checked the website it didnt say anything about the experience maybe it did change. The process always changes so it’ll be best to confirm it straight from immigration.

Hi. I think it would be better to apply as a family. Your spouse will also be given an open work permit so can help out with finances. And you won't have to be separated with your family. That's just my personal opinion. But also try to see which would work best for your situation.

I am sponsoring my cousin in law. In the job offer, I indicated that she doesn't have to live in our home but they do have the option to do so if they want to. I also made it clear that I won't be charging them for accommodations.

No need for student visa.
Hello there! I am curious if you got any updates on your cousin’s application? I am planning on sponsoring my sister in law, she has a husband and they have a 4yo son. I am not sure about the requirements from employers. Ill appreciate it of you have a link i could go to? I cant seem to find a lot of info for employers. Thank you in advance!

For employers, they would usually ask for 3 years of NOA, T4s, employment certs, and birth/medical certificates of those that will be taken care of. Also, they might ask how you were managing previously with the care of the individual..

There's no link that I could show you but these are based on what's been asked from those that have applied.

NOA would be Notice of Assessment? I have all of those, thanks! So I will have to wait until they reach out to me and ask for those docs, correct?
