I applied in 2019, and got marked as "completed" for my citizenship test on June 3 2021 (original one cancelled due to COVID) and so far nothing regarding oath!! I know tons of people that applied in (mostly late) 2020 and have already become Canadian citizens. This is insane...

Anyone else having the same issue?

Nov 2019 applicants here. Everything is completed 3 months ago, still waiting for the oath. I sent them a webform to inquire about my application, a complaint about the excessive delays on my application and the unfairness of their processing order, and ordered ATIP notes, but they wouldn't budge. We are forgotten.

It reminds me of an old saying "When there is a Will then there's a way"

I would change it to "If there is an incentive then there's a way". IRCC doesn't have any incentives in being accountable. Immigrants cannot go after them and make them lose money. On the contrary, there will always be immigrants for them to make enough money, regardless of their performance, so ..

Correction: I am with the Montreal office :) Which is one of the slowest offices also
Sorry! I saw you sometimes in the Scarborough thread, did you transfer your file? If yes, maybe that's one of the reason of the slowness...I think I've heard more than one stories that a file is asked to be transfered, so the original office stops processing it, but it's also slow in handing the file over, so nor can the new office process it...

I am all over the forums. I applied from and stayed in Montreal. No file transfer

Shame on IRCC for their bureaucracy and neglectfulness!!! If I could have a super power, I would sack every single of their officials and build the whole agency again from scratch.

You cannot change IRCC unless you change the mentality from which they operate, namely, how they see immigrants as unworthy people, as solely workers to boost Canada's economy. I am certain every single one of them say in themselves "if they (we immigrants) don't like it, then they can leave and go home. That's how we (IRCC) do things, and it's the right way." There are little signs from the new minister that he considers immigrants as human beings and not just a work force for Canada's economy, but we will see time will reveal about him and his plan. If Canada continues on this trajectory, it will struggle to attract skilled immigrants. #ShameOnIRCC
