The date is different. So anyone hasn't submitted the file, they need to download the new form.I cannot see anything about the different permit in these forms.

We are. Feb 6 applicant. However we're using a lawyer so not sure if they are just waiting for a formal letter or something...Any Feb applicant still waiting for OWP?
My question is different. I want to see any official reference that a visitor who submitted application for in-Canada sponsorship and OWP is not obliged to extend visitor status. So far, everything that I can see says that implied status is obtained only if you apply to extend the same status (i.e. visor, worker, student). There is no reference so far that you have an implied status if you applied to change your status. The date is different. So anyone hasn't submitted the file, they need to download the new form.
Hey wont the lawyer give you the update? Do u have the OWP file number? If you do you can call the helpline and ask for an updateWe are. Feb 6 applicant. However we're using a lawyer so not sure if they are just waiting for a formal letter or something...

I think we've given you enough references. You may also consult the senior members here to give you the information you are still asking for. I can't answer you anymore. There have been 2 or 3 references given to you few posts back and few people told you their personal experience already..why dont you call the helpline and talk to an agent about this? They will be able to clear any doubts that you have..
Unless they check the account themselves, however based on what I see with many lawyers, they won't say anything until they have received official correspondence from CIC.Hey wont the lawyer give you the update? We're still waiting for the approval though, not the actual document.Makes sense. I have not recieved my owp yet as well. I heard it takes about 2 weeks for BC people.
You cant know that right? The lawyer, like you said, will probably tell when they have it in mail ( they will get it in mail or will you?) And if it totally starts making you anxious you should give helpline a call i dont think those helpline calls make their way into the official files and your lawyer will have no reason or way to find that out. But i understand where you are coming from too. Hopefully you get an update soonWe're still waiting for the approval though, not the actual document.
I am not sure to be honest lol I would assume it would come to us...but who knows...maybe someone who is using a lawyer can let me know?!You cant know that right? In some country’s like mine (Mexico) you need a letter of immigration requesting a police background. Every country is different I thinkHey our application was received March 28 I think. We sent a police certificate for home country with application and never received a request for Canadian police certificate. I saw on the cic web page that they are making changes with the police certificate process, so I think that’s why they never requested. Medical exams come after 6-7 months
Thank you so much for such a detailed explanation was really helpful......Thank you...And just my two cents..its very very VERY rare that you will gey refused for work permit since the only eligibility requirements for owp are that you should have a valid status when u applied for owp and that u should be married to a canadian citizen or PR.
A senior member already told him that the restoration would be unnecessary because he was able to extend his status prior to the expiry. So, he is currently on implied status.
