2018 Spousal Sponsorship in-land Applications: timeline and updates

Hello everyone,

Jan 19, 2018 applicant here. I finally received my landing interview appointment letter from Vancouver office on January 2, 2019. My interview is scheduled for January 25, 2019.

AIP October 31, 2018, DM and SA November 2, 2018. The rest of my timeline is in my signature below.

Did you get an email for DM or it just says DM on your online account .

Please specify if you get DM for applicant or sponsor.

Hi,

I got DM both sides. and on sponsor side it says they sent an email to our representative. Our representative's office was closed for the holidays so dont know what going on here.

How did you get automated message?

I think when you call the number and enter your application number the automated lady on the phone reads the status from somewhere I guess from the portal online. I am not sure how it works.

But at first you are given the chance to select French and then why you are calling then you say PR and it then asks for your application number and date of birth and it said that its looking at applications prior to Jan 5th and then It reads status .. Something along those lines.

No one really has an answer for it. It depends from case to case and office yo office. I have been waiting for more than a month already ..dont know how long will it take ?

How do they select the office for the interview? Is it whichever is the closest or it’s random?
Do you know if they have an office in Saskatchewan?

Yes, but I got caught in the holiday vacation. It may not be as long now that everyone is back to work.
