2018 Spousal Sponsorship in-land Applications: timeline and updates

Also, my husband got his work permit approved today! Here's his timeline:

Application with OWP received by CIC: March 12, 2018 at around 1PM PST
AOR received: April 10, 2018 at around 2PM PST
OWP approved: June 27, 2018 at around 3PM PST

I have a question, I applied for sponsorship + OWP + Visitor extension. So my visitor status expired in june 16th and I am waiting for AOR and my visitor extension answer. If my sponsorship application return because of a missing doccumentation and my visitor extension get denied, what am I suppose to do? Will I need to restore my status in Canada before resend the sponsorship application?

Did you apply for visitors extension on paper or online? Paper takes 99 days or something right now, so that buys you some time. If it happens that they both return on same day, I think that means you would be out of status, and would have to restore your status. If one is returned and other still pending, you’ll still have implied status.

Question - if I redo only some of the application forms for spousal sponsorship and others remain the same - meaning if there are different dates at the end where you sign - would this be an issue or should I redo all of them to have the same dates.
Plus we left the country during the time our application was sent and then returned due to missing docs and therefore the question “when was your most recent entry to Canada” would have changed .
Would you update those docs as well or just send it the requested doc??

I had different dates on my application and wasn’t a problem, as long as the signatures are on it.

You could update it and also write a letter of explanation with it, that’s my train of thought. Anyone else?

Hello everybody,
Thank you all very much for replying me along since I first posted my concern.

It’s been 3.5 months since my application was delivered to IRCC and I never receive any AOR or notice that my common-law partner is approved to be eligible as the sponsor. However, I got an email from IRCC today saying an OWP is granted! Yay!

Now, I’m wondering if it means my application is complete (has all the documents needed) and my sponsor is eligible?

Also, provided I get a job soon, then is it possible for me to bring my son over? My son is in the application as well as my dependent.

I am the one same expired date as yours,but I apply the extension online, so I have the case number already. At the moment, CIC didn't do anything about extension, I should past it in 1 month before,and they have kept changing the processing time, from 30 days changed to 58 days now. Quite funny, and the processing date from April 24 updated to April 19, updated on backward....

I need some help! I’m being sponsored for PR, I have linked my application online for my part! But my how do I link the sponsor application? I don’t know if he’s been approved as a sponsor or anything! We sent the application in on March 2nd! I still haven’t received my OWP and I sent my police checks and schedule A in on March 28th.

sent JUne 21, received june 22
previous owp was submitted but rejected because the pr was not done (error on our part), so we sent two new applications and receipts

You have never received an AOR? Have you checked your junk mail? How were you able to link your application? You should probably phone CIC about it. Sponsor Approval takes a long time. Almost at the end of the process. Some people would not even receive it.

You can always apply for your son's TRV but the approval rate for that, when someone applied for PR, is very low. You can try, though.
