hi everyone, January 2018 AOR and recently received my MR last March 22. Just yesterday they send me email regarding ready for visa" and im kind of confuse as i only receive it thru my email and not on my gckey acct. and is someone familiar with the process? is there anyone who knows how long is the validity of visa once released? cant contain myself since last night. it was too fast..

Ready for Visa email is PPR. Im not sure if thats a glitch or true PPR. Have you checked your gckey and Ecas and have you passed your Medical?

Hi
I got request for biometric payment today but my wife didn't get request for biometric ,do i have to pay first biometric fee then they will issue request of biometric?does every family member have to do biometric ? Or just main applicant?

Thanks

Oh. Maybe you will get ppr sooner.
I am waiting for medical request :).... from our WHATSAAP group most of the Indian applicants status changed to application received, but still many cases status not yet changed...

So this changes to “application received” is a good thing right?

i passed my medicals last March 22. i dont know what ECAS is but the last update i have in my gckey is when they asked me to submit updated IMM 5669 form in which i comply the next day. not really sure why my gskey account is not updating to PPR process.. so maybe thats how it is now.

Also, does anyone here aware of the validity of passport once issued? i was told it will only be for 6 months but i was hoping it would be like a year.

What s your application status

its still in process, they didnt even notofy me if i passed the medicals.

is it a bad thing? cause i see in some timeline that cic notify for passing medicals and here i am receiving "ready for visa" email which is not even on my gckey acct.

Most probably that is already a true PPR since you already passed your Medicals and accomplished your ADR. Ecas is where you check whether a decision has been made another way of checking application status aside from GCKey. These days as I observe, Ecas gets updated first to decision made and after few days or a week your Gckey will be updated to application approved. You need your passport to be valid at least 6 months before submitting to VFS for visa stamping... Congrats isreyes! :) May i know your timeline?
