2018 POST AOR PAPER BASED APPLICANTS - WAITING FOR MEDICAL

Hello everyone,

Does anybody know what are the exact post-AOR steps for anyone who applies after 31th of July? I found an updated steps from CIC website as below:


If you’re applying for permanent residence or to sponsor a family member

We will:

• review your application to make sure it’s complete
• send you or your family member a letter that tells you how to give your biometrics
• receive and review your or your family member’s biometrics after you have given them at a collection point
• decide if you’re eligible to sponsor
• decide if you’re eligible to apply to become a permanent resident of Canada
• tell you when we start processing your application,
• tell you how to get a medical exam, if you didn’t get one before sending in your application
• do a security screening to make sure all applicants don’t pose a risk to the safety and security of Canadians
• decide if you need to go to an interview
• tell you of the decision we make on your application

After 70 days past from AOR date, I did not get any update on my application. A friend of mine who got his AOR about 38 days ago, received a biometrics letter. What is your idea about this case? Has anybody the same experience?

Can anyone tell if someone from January 2018 AOR forward has received PPR? (paper based). or can anyone tell which batch are now getting their PPRs? thanks

Yes. Are you based in the Philippines? If so, then we are both under MVO which lately, has been very slow.

See as per recent mr is issued from Canada fir 2018 January and February applicants.there is no file transfer notifications....

Yes I noticed that too. No FT emails recently. I just assumed that VO still depends on residence or location at the time of application. A January 2018 applicant received MR in December 2018 from Rome VO, she was in Israel when she filed her application. She is now based in the Philippines though.

oh, hope ill get mine soon. but i haven't receive any FT email notifications, does it mean FT email first before MR?

Yes from our group around 5-10 candidates received mr and they are from January , February 2018, AOR
