Hello All,

i am starting this new thread to share experience amongst people who have submitted pay stub as a income proof instead of notice of assesment for the current year and got approved..? did any one has filled application in the year 2014,2015 or 2016 with the current year pay stub and got approved as a sponsor and passed the minimum income threshold.?

If you are applying in January 2017 - then you need to meet the income requirements in 2013, 2014 and 2015. You can't substitute 2016 for 2013.

There is a rumor from within IRCC that the government is considering to change the applications accepting period for 2017 from January into June, so they can assess the latest income tax return from the sponsors. Purely speculation at this point don't take this serious.
