Hi,

Some boarders are suggesting that the Processing gets really slow from Jan to March due to student Visas... is it true...Was expecting IP2 for October 2017 to start..but nothing yet
No, on the contrary first half of every year since 2016 saw a relatively shorter time line if we leave the few cases which were typical.

The correct statement is that new Delhi visa office is in complete chaos.

Ndvo use to be one of the quickest VO in early part of 2017, their timeline was 120-140 days (leaving typical cases).

Yes students intake months do have an effect on timelines at new Delhi. The intake months are August (leading to September for September intake) and December (leading to January for January intake).

After lowering of LIMA points back in June (somewhere) the fake profiles rush from infamous areas of India went towards the student visas. This could probably be as the consultants were paid and all their fake job offer letter became useless. They probably started filing student cases for such people from whom they took money. Results were 1.5 lac application of students in August 2017.

This lead to complete chaos at ndvo, they only started work on other visas (apart from travel, which they could not put on hold) in November. Three months of non movement caused confusion.

To give you example, ameen's file was approved on 27/11 where as no ppr was issued till January 2018 even after repeated CSE. Today only I saw garik's gcms and his file was approved on 22/11, even the stamp is numbered, issued and has an expiry written in gcms. Yet no ppr even after repeated CSE and emails.
This shows how bad the situation is at the office.

I have hopes that by March end things will start falling in order and ndvo will reclaim the old Glory. Might take more but they have to sort out the mess eventually.

Have fun

Also, what are your views on ordering GCMS notes at this stage. It's been about 50 days since my AOR and about 30 days since I'm in IP2. (FSW-O)

I agree with @Lakhanpal.saurabh as in it's very difficult to predict the work timeline at NDVO. Owing to the fact that there is a rush of student visas, which didn't used to be the case earlier, the FSW and PNP applicants suffer major time lag in their process completeness. The wannabes Canadian through student visa route are making the matters worse. Hope it comes back to the track soon and give relief to all of us here.

You can actually ... I guess it will be generated after ppr only... Will be a good record to keep.

Hi guys! What website do you recommend for booking a plane ticket from New Delhi to Winnipeg?

Hey guys i just received a small update now
I received an email request from NDVO to pay RPRF.
However i have already paid the same, and sent them receipt of the RPRF paid, to ndvo via email.
Is there anything i need to do from my end apart from this ?
I hope they dont delay it more.....
when should i expect my ppr ....AOR 18 JULY :)

Hi

I got the following reply for my visa office query. It seems my application isn’t yet transferred to local visa office.

Good day,

Please note that your application is being processed at the Case Processing Centre in Ottawa as per our regulatory timeline. Please note that we cannot confirm when your file will be ready for finalization.

An officer will contact you if further information is required.

Please consult our Website for information regarding our processing times:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/index.asp

For your information, the processing times, provided on the website, is the average time it took visa offices to approve or refuse 80 percent of applications during a specified period in the past. They may not accurately predict future processing times.

We appreciate your patience and ask that you keep correspondence with our office to a minimum.”

Lucky guy... Your file is being processed at Ottawa. It will not come to ndvo. I think I told you this seeing your timeline earlier. Now you are in ip2 and as I said this week should be luck raining for you.

@Lakhanpal.saurabh
AOR 21st August
File transferred to NDVO 17th October
IP2: 14th December

No communication since then. Its been 1.5 months now. Is there anything I can do? Ottawa helpline didnt communicate anything to me on phone. Should I order GCMS notes again? Last ones I got were sent to me on Nov 22. Very frustrating.

One of the team at ndvo has already touched October files.

It's actually late for August aor.
Please order gcms again.

The sudden quietness at NDVO indicates that IP2 updates on Monday (if not on this Friday) followed by PPR rain is due next week. This time October PNP applicants will get relief of PPR rain. IP2s alongwith PPR for October - November - December leftover FSW applicants will keep coming in the due course. Lets hope for the best for everyone waiting here. All the very best!!

@All,

My AOR was 26th Jun 2017. As per GCMS notes (which I ordered Nov 29 and received last week),

Last Update on Nov 24th 2017:
Officer Review at NDVO - PA PLEASE SEND PASSPORT REQUEST LETTER ELIGIBILITY PASSED

Despite this, I have still not received PPR (200+ days from AOR and 60 days from Officer review at NDV0)

Can you guide on what I should do to find out status/expedite?
