2016 PR CARD APPLICANTS TIMELINE

As of Sep 21: 66 days, working on applications received on July 18.

Anyone seen the changed "completed" status on IRRC portal in last 10 days? or received the card.

3 members of my family received the PR card but one applied separately after a week than others in July first week didn't receive anything and status is showing "in process"

I called them yesterday and was told card is in production from Sep 13th and if I don't receive PR card or hear from them by 1st week of Oct, then I should give them a call.

My application reached Jul 13th.

did they tell you if it was approved or in for secondary review?

Card in production means its approved and gone for print. ;D

I asked so it means approved to which they confirmed.

do you see updated status in ecas? I called them y'day and they told me to check online.

eCas not updated yet. Mine was new card not renewal. When was your app received?

Mine was renewal... it was received on 11th Jul...

We received your application for a permanent resident card on July 11, 2016.
We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on August 17, 2016.
We started processing your application on August 17, 2016.


did you just ask call centre to give you status update?

We have similar timelines. Don't ask for status update. Just tell them you're looking to find out what happened to your application. They'll ask whether you got a letter (acknowledgement)

Complete status comes after the card is mailed.

Hello. My husband applied for an "Urgent" renewal for his PR card on August 23, 2016 and the application was received on August 25, 2016. He needs to go to Pakistan on October 31, 2016 for his sisters wedding and his father is very sick. It's been almost a month and we haven't heard anything back. He's already purchased his ticket and cancelling it is not an option for us. Can someone please tell me when approximately you think we will have our application process started? Please and thank you.

It still says 66 days on the CIC website (down from 93 a couple of months ago). I guess that's how long it takes between the day they receive the application and the PR Card is received? Or is it between the day they start working on it and the day a decision is made? Or any other combination?

They received my application on Aug 5 (so 50 days), and started working on it on Sep 1 ( so 23 days). Just trying to estimate when I'll have my new card.
