Congrats, I have almost same timelines but still awaiting for the PR card.
We live in the kingston ON and someone told me that PR card get printed in the kingston so wondering why it's taking so long.

Where do live and from where card got dispatched ?

I sent my PR card renewal application on January 12, 2016 by Purolator. It is received by CPC Sydney, NS on January 14. I received an AOR email today (March 13); however, ECAS is not showing any update yet. I am noticing in the CIC website that, the processing time for PR card renewal applications is declining steadily - a positive sign indeed! I wish all the best to the existing and future applicants.

Usually it take 2-3 days after AOR email so check again on Monday or Tuesday.

Hi there I mailed our family(4) PR cards renewal application in Jan 2016, and got email AOR today (Mar 17) stating they had received it on Jan 28th. However we only got AOR email for 3 of the 4 applications (my husband and 2 sons), I have yet to receive the email regarding my own application, all were sent together in one package. Is this usual, that they might be processed separately?
Helena.

cONGRATS!!
What is the validity of your card, when does it expire ?

It's Five years. I also applied for citizenship, hopefully won't need to renew it again.

Don't worry to much, you will get AOR soon. CIC is processing PR Card Applications so fast now. I applied in Nov 2015 and got AOR in Feb 2016.

Really ? How do you do that in advance ?

I didn't understand your question, but there is no need to have a valid PR card to apply for Citizenship.

Hello everyone,

I would like to join this thread as I applied to renew my PR on February 16, 2016. I also applied for citizenship on the same day. Both applications were received on Feb 22. While I received my AOR for the citizenship application, nothing yet for my PR.

Good news .. PR Renewal time was again reduced last week. It dropped down from 138 to 124 days ..

I am wondering .. Is there a spreadsheet for PR 2016 that we can join?

Thank you Reom. I am still learning here. Not yet applying for PR card renewal but will need to do so later.

I had no idea one could apply for CDN citizenship in advance. I thought you have to be a PR for 3 years and then apply for citizenship.
I would like my wife to apply but how does it work. how long is the wait time for getting the Citizenship card? Can one apply from the US?
