Hey Everyone, just got our PPR from Manila VO today. The officer also attached a visa validity date which is weeks before Christmas this year. I'm so happy right now!

I think I got one also, does your email say that it is in the 'final stages of review' and to send your passport. Does this mean we are close to being issued a visa? Thankyou

Yes it does. We've already sent them what they required and hopefully, get it back soon with the VISA stamped.

Hi All,

I am new to this forum but I read a few threads and found them very helpful. My fiance recently became a Canadian PR and will be moving to Canada in Jan 2016. He already found a job so we have that going our way! We will get married before he moves so that once there he can apply for my sponsorship. I am a Pakistan Citizen residing in Dubai. I am very anxious about the processing times as it seems like they take a while. Current processing time for Abu Dhabi office is 13 months.

Any comments, suggestions would be highly appreciated!

Thanks!

Same here! 58 days after ECAS said "In Process" we have DM. :D Best of luck with the final stage of the process. :)

realismsleeve the new visa office for Cyprus is Rome. I emailed Tel AVIV the other day for some questions for my sponsorship application for common-law partners and I received a reply saying that they have transferred my message to Rome/Italy which is now responsible for residents of Cyprus.

The only think I still don't know if the papers I have to submit have changed as well, as the country specific instructions guide are different. Cyprus used to be under Middle East & Central Asia IMM 3911 when TEL AVIV was the visa, but now I'm not sure if we apply under Western Europe IMM 3901 as Rome is responsible for us.

Hello, yes you are right, I already submitted my application in January therefore I used the Middle East and Central Asia guide. I believe now that they will be processed in Rome that you should use the Western Europe guide. If you have any questions about your application let me know. I will send my passport to Italy this week then hopefully get a decision over the next month.

I believe the "country specific" guides IMM3911 are filled out according to country of residence NOT visa office processing the application. If the visa office has a specific requirement, they would probably let you know?

I'll email them to find out as it is still a bit confusing. In CIC website Cyprus is shown under Tel Aviv and Rome. Their website doesn't seem to be fully updated and possibly not the guides either if they had made any changes.
