Has anyone with a European or Middle Eastern VO received AOR 2 yet? Seems like its mostly Asian countries that have been
sent by Mississauga so far.

Yes. I received mine on 23rd of April. I am applying through Warsaw.

Hi everyone!

Was hoping to get a little insight since sometimes that spreadsheet confuses me haha. I was hoping I could get some feedback on where everyone else is. Obviously it makes more since to hear from others applying from the US, but I'd still like to hear where others are at who submitted their applications around the same time. Does anyone know if you HAVE to send in your passport? I already have a ticket to Canada June 30th so I'll need it then. I may be jumping the gun, but hopefully this good feeling about being almost done, is accurate. Also, how long until you receive all your PR paperwork/card in the mail after "Decision Made"? And whats technically AOR2? :D

Application received: 1/26/15

AOR: 3/23/15

SA: 3/26/15

I don't know the answers to all of your questions but I'll address what I think I know and if I'm wrong someone can correct me.

AOR2 is the second acknowledgement of receipt (of your application) from the visa office that will be handling the case of the principal applicant. So I believe the AOR2 is what you should receive next after receiving Decision Made regarding the Sponsor.

You are a US applicant so your application should be going through Ottawa, right? From what I understand outland applications through Ottawa are looking at 8-10 months processing times right now. I know things can jump ahead or drag behind but I think that's the average wait time for us right now. Our timelines look to be about the same as my husband and I received our SA on 3/23/15. We haven't heard anything else from the CIC and my status in the ECAS thing still only has "application received 1/15" and "medical results received."

Have you received any additional requests or notices from the CIC other than the AOR and SA you listed above?

You won't need to send in your passport because the US is a visa-exempt country. It does look like Ottawa is taking around 8 months currently, but I'm crossing my fingers for a speed-up soon. As far as I know, Ottawa does not typically send out AOR2. It's just an extra AOR from the visa office stating they received your application. I'm also from the US, applied in January 2015. My timeline is to the left there. Also, I find that it usually takes about a week or so to get mail back and forth from US to Canada and vice versa. If you're already in Canada, you'll likely see COPR within a few days of it being mailed out. I'm assuming they mail it fairly quickly after DM.

Guys Im just wondering, is anyone else here "Application Received" on both Sponsorship Application status and Permanent Residence status basing from your ECAS?

I just called the CIC, and they said that they dont know why I still havn't receieve an email or updated on my SA. But she said that I am approved as a sponsor. And I've already received my Passport Request since April 28.

And how did they request you a passport then if no email or mail sent to you?

They sent it to my husband's email. He is the principal applicant. Manila VO also gave me a copy.

All the emails go to the principal applicant(your husband in this case), except once in the forms he requested that other people including yourself can also receive those emails. If he didn't he is the only one to receive emails.

Hi ccastillo! Hope you are fine. Any news? I'm so worried. It's gonna be over 80 days of my AOR2 but my status is still app received and med received

We haven't had any additional requests for anything so we're just sitting and waiting at this point. Any idea on what'll happen when I get to Calgary end of June of everythings not done yet? I know I can stay and visit but will I have to come home, like will they send any paperwork/my PR card to my home here in the states??
