Hi Steve, i received the same email from VO Manila on 30-April requesting to fill-in Appendix A minus the passport. (docs sent on the 3rd of May, received on the 5th)
The instruction is written in bold that i should not send the passport just yet.
Did she received the same?
How to say when you are in a visa exempt country?
I am a Filipino and currently working here in Dubai.

No we did not have that instruction in our email.

Here's our timeline:

application received: JANUARY 7, 2015
SA:MARCH 16, 2015
PPR: (HUBBY'S PASSPORT WAS SENT UPON APPLICATION). WAS ASKED APPENDIX A AND B ON APRIL 21, 2015
IN PROCESS : MAY 6, 2015
DECISION MADE: MAY 11, 2015
HOPEFULLY VISA ON HAND SOON!

What a good news for u and to ur husband congrats guys. The january applicants have already DM. Just wanna asked questions, did ur husband received an email that he needs to pass his passport? Or u just follow at the bottom of the Appendix A saying passport request? Cause the VO manila sent us email that we need to pass the Appendix A, B then RPRF then some additional documents we sent that on May 1. no update yet. And they don't asked our passport.

we both received the email from cem. We were only asked of appendix A and B because my hubby's passport is already with them. However some applicants have received email only asking for appendix A and B but with no passport. It really depends on the visa officer handling your application.

Just a question, what kind of email did you receive/have you received any email upon the change of status to decision made?

Hello everyone

I have an exciting update! Last time I checked my ECAS (some time last week can't quite remember the day) it still said 'Application received'. Just checked it this morning and it said on May 7 my application was in process and today it says Decision Made!!

Neither me or my partner (sponsor) have received any emails about my application since we got sponsor approval.

Hi my VO is Abu Dhabi unfortunately until now i haven't receive AOR 2. I have sent them an email to ff up but no reply.

Yes from what I can tell Asian VO's were sent much faster than for our area of the world. I would hope we might hear something by next week

Guys Im just wondering, is anyone else here "Application Received" on both Sponsorship Application status and Permanent Residence status basing from your ECAS?

I just called the CIC, and they said that they dont know why I still havn't receieve an email or updated on my SA. But she said that I am approved as a sponsor. And I've already received my Passport Request since April 28.

Hi everyone new here I have a question when sending the app what is the fee we need to pay?

Right of Permanent Residence Fee $490.00

That one? or this one?

Spouse, common-law partner or conjugal partner $550.00

and also this one?

Sponsorship application (per application) $75.00

Also is it recomended that we send the app with the medical check upfront? In spite we are applying outland we are on Canada! any tips regarding fees payment and medical check
