2015 JANUARY - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICATION

Our timeline was as follows:

AOR Recieved: Jan 9th 2015
SA: April 1st 2015

Applicant:April 1st: Medical's received and Additional doc's requested-
April 15th- App being processed
April 18th- Decision made

Our application stayed in Mississauga and we never received PPR. The applicant has since changed her address so would CIC send any hardcopy mail to her home address? We have received everything through email thus far.

Your lucky. I am trying to sponsor my husband and send my application to Mississauga and was received on Jan 16
AOR received March 19
And never get anything back.
My husband still haven't done the medical exam because they told him to wait till they ask but unfortunately I haven't get anything since then. I tried to call many times but their electronic machine answer and not a real person to talk to and ask about my application I am too frustrated for that. Any one know their number to call and check my status please let me know

I think im one of the last January applicants still waiting on SA, but finally my ECAS is working and CPC-M has re-classified my file as outland as they mistakenly put it in the inland processing, im blaming the receptionist......., it has been sitting in the inland pile for the past month with no movement until i made some calls to MP and CIC..... holy fuuuuuxck, prob will get SA in the next few days, the incompetence at CIC is mind-blowing.... hope none of you will have to go thru the b.s that i had to go thru just to get them to reclassify my file..

I am actually in mid of January and just got AOR and that is it what number did u call and what do you mean about MP someone in this forum advice me to call MP but not sure who are they and what is there phone # I need to call them to call anyone I think I am being in the same situation as u were plz let me know their phone # or any one

I tried around 2:30pm and then 3:30 put no one respond just machine who gave u everything in the website and the guideline of how to apply where and so on

Did you apply inland or outland, all outland Jan applicants should have got AOR and SA by now as the cic official website is saying they are processing applications in February . My file got put into the inland queue, i had to get my MP involved, called the call centre everyday to badger them, i finally got lucky and had one agent push a message to Mississauga to double check the file and got confirmation last week, they mistakenly put my file in the wrong queue. MP is minister of parliament which represents the Canadian citizen neighborhood, i would call cic to inquire which way the file is being processed and if they misclassified the file have them send an urgent message to CPC-M to reclassify and notify the sponsor's MP to get involved, they have special contacts at CIC and will be able to help you.

call 613-944-4000, press 1 three times until they transfer you to cic, from there press 1 and then 2 and then 0 to connect to an agent, keep calling until they send you through to the queue.

finally yesterday I was asking about their contact number and today I received and email saying (You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor ) and they ask for medical exam so does that mean I pass the SA
more thing they told me my file was transferred to the visa office in Abu Dhabi does that mean if they require any review it will be there??
one more question they told us to send any additional requirements to this office, anyone have already deal with this office and how please let me know?

Yes you have SA, for the application to be processed you need to do a medical otherwise they can't complete stage 2.
Yes Abu Dhabi is now where your application is being further processed and all contact should be with them not Mississauga. If they have asked for additional documents try and send it ASAP so that it does not delay your application in Abu Dhabi.
