Oh....am surprised....never thought PTA LVO also processes some of these hey........But anyway, it all depends on where Ottawa wants to transfer your file top, it may not necessarily come to your LVO according to their new work processes.

Long wait indeed......because from Nov.15 to now they definitely should be done, because I do not think PTA has huge volumes honestly?

Sorry I've been absent on this forum because the waiting was driving me crazy. But I came back to make some specific replies here.

Thanks Musikwala. I believe that seem to be the case. Well, we can only keep being positive for speedy processing of our applications. I can see yours has been on since 2015. Any recent movements? or do you already have your PR?

I'm still waiting. Crossed 5 months on 12th April. GCMS notes show eligibility final check still pending and security still pending.

Nice to see this group. My file is in Pretoria since November. Got GCMS notes last week and everything looks OK. If they do not have many application, why they are taking long time? My App will complete 6 months this Friday.

My GCMS notes showed that file is approved on the 19th Jan 2016 but security is blank. This Friday will be completing my 6 months mark. Expecting something by this Friday.

No kidding!!! That's taking too long. I really hope the new work process distribution would favour us. However, I think you should have your PPR have this week.

CPC Ottawa finished their all review by 2 weeks after submission and they really worked fast. I don't know the reason for delay. LVO should be faster then Ottawa. Probably they are still working on security.......I have frequent travel history from Botswana to South Africa.

I called to Pretoria office today and lady told me that talking to immigration officer is not possible. CSE is the only way to communicate. They have a open day to answer all question ......every month first Tuesday.

Anybody got CSE reply from Pretoria VO?

I managed to call Ottawa today and officer was also confused why I am not get PPR but refused to open my file.

But first Tuesday of the month was yesterday! So why didn't they give you an answer? Are they simply bullsh1tting us to keep us quiet?

And I also don't understand why the Ottawa person refused to open your file. You have crossed 6 months, so you bloody hell deserve an answer from them! I say you keep calling them and talking to a different agent until somebody helps you.

Guys... over at the SACanada.org forum, people ARE getting PPR! It looks like at least 3 to 4 people from Oct/Nov recently got PPR at end of April. Somebody there said that it appears that Pretoria VO does nothing until the last minute and rushes in PPRs close to 6 month mark. How inefficient! But at least some hopeful news.

Hi Guys, finally decided to join a forum as its somewhere I can vent my frustration of this waiting game.....

but on a positive note Im still waiting on the bigger picture

so yesterday we reached the 7th month mark and gave CIC a call. The agent said our application is in Pretoria since 26th October!

the last communication received was at the end of Feb requesting for PCC's which we had already submitted with our application and it made no sense cos they were still valid. Nevertheless we applied for updated PCC's and sent them through in April. On Thursday we received a response that they have received them and will contact us should any further info be required.

the agent said we could send a CSE to Pretoria to enquire on the status, has anyone done this before and received a response?

Why the heck did they ask for fresh PCCs when the old ones are still valid?? That makes no sense whatsoever! They better not ask me for fresh PCCs. Getting a US PCC again will take 4 months!

I have recently sent CSEs to both Ottawa and Pretoria. Hope something comes out of at least one of them.
