I got RQd in July 2014 but my office is Scarborough. My file was transferred to Montreal CEN in April 2015 and I got my Oath in May. I hope this helps. There were a lot of us who got our citizenship through CEN Montreal. Please try searching that on the forum linksh3a3j6 said:Good evening folks,
Any RQers from 2014 in Montreal who have received their oath invitation yet? I had an RQ back in June 2014...
Any feedback is really appreciated.
Cheers.
Thanks for your kind reply. I did check the thread out, it appears that files transfered from other offices don't follow the same queue. In my case, my RQ was also around June 2014... Still waiting.chikloo said:I got RQd in July 2014 but my office is Scarborough. My file was transferred to Montreal CEN in April 2015 and I got my Oath in May. I hope this helps. Its September 2015 and they have promised to clear 80% of cases applied on or before April 2015 by March 2016. So the max you have to wait is March 2016. They have included a caveat that if the case has some complication then it may be extended. So not sure what that means. All the best hope you fall under 80%.h3a3j6 said:Thanks for your kind reply. Where did you read this? Can you please link to any document that states they intend clearing 80% of cases on or before April 2015they have promised to clear 80% of cases applied on or before April 2015 by March 2016

I unfortunately agree with you. I suspect that all RQers have to wait anywhere between 1 year and 3 years (Excerpt from the same page: "If your application is non-routine, it will take longer to process. The current typical processing time for non-routine applications is 36 months. Some will be processed faster than this.")baz said:Hi Chikloo
Forgive if I am incorrect, but that link says nothing about 80% of cases being cleared before Mar 2016. As I understand that link, they will try clear the backlog by Mar 2016, but it says nothing about non-routine cases. OP is a non-routine case (all RQ's are non-routine), are you sure it applies to him?
Congratulations...I got it!! Yippieeeeeeeeeeee Smiley
I called CIC on Wednesday and asked for an update but as usual they told me they can't give an update till the processing time limit has been passed.
But on Thursday I got the letter and my oath is on 24 November Smiley
Can't believe I am at the other end now. Best of luck to those still in it!
